Apple to release iOS 4.1 as Developers get the GM build.

Apple to release iOS 4.1 for iPod touch and iPhone the following week after the September 1 Special Event. Meanwhile, developers can get their hands on the GM build of iOS 4.1 today.

iOS 4.1 is available for:

iPhone 4
iPhone 3GS
iPhone 3G (some features are not available)
iPod touch 3rd generation
iPod touch 2nd generation (some features are not available)

The iPod touch 4th generation comes with iOS 4.1 pre-installed.
