No JailbreakMe.com for iOS 4.1 beta 3.

I tried jailbreaking an iPhone 3G running iOS 4.1 using JailbreakMe.com and it failed. What does this mean? Apple might have patched the particular security flaw utilized by JailbreakMe.com. Some say that JailbreakMe.com is exploiting a PDF font bug in Apple renderer.

I started the jailbreaking process @ 11:30 PM and 30 minutes later nothing is moving.

I call this a good news for iPhone users in general. Sure it stopped one method of jailbreaking but more importantly it closes a security hole.

I attempted the iPhone jailbreaking for demonstration purpose only.
Remember that Apple will not provide any supports for jailbroken iPhone, iPad and iPad touch.

  1. That’s not why it means it means that JailBreakMe isn’t written for that firmware beta/update. Read somewhere before posting! Just trying to help you out. It says on their website what it’s capable of doing.

    1. Do I really need to reply to you?
      from the site:

Q: How can I be sure I always can jailbreak in the future?

A: Firstly, don’t update past 4.0.1, the last firmware JailbreakMe supports.

iOS 4.0.2 closed the PDF flaw that allegedly being used by JailbreakMe.com. iOS 4.1 beta 3 already had that fix prior 4.0.2 release.
