Steve Jobs announces new iPod line at Apple’s “The Beat Goes On” special event today.
Watch the Keynote stream here.
- iPod shuffle in new colors, and a PRODUCT(RED) one. ($79)
- iPod nano with video capabilities, third generations. Now with new colors.
- iPod classic, 80GB and 160 GB ($249 and $349). Comes in color black and silver.
- iPod touch, the one that resembles the iPhone. Comes in 8GB and 16 GB model. ($299 and $399)
- iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, for iPhone and iPod touch, coming later in September 2007.
In addition to that, Apple drops the price of the iPhone to $399 for the 8GB model. This news outrages many iPhone early adopters. (update: read Steve Jobs’ open letter here)
The 4GB model is available while it lasts for $299. Based on the fake information from an imaginary Apple employee, the 16GB iPhone model is coming.
I was expecting the iPhone software update today, per information provided by the completely made up source who allegedly works for Apple. The info was somewhat accurate, but the date was wrong. The supposed update will include the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store capabilities, and then some.
