Tom Leykis starts Thursday show with “Leykis 101″ and he is planning to talk about the future of the show at 5PM Pacific Time. Leykis has a “no-cut contract” until 2011.
Starting Friday February 20th, 2009 at 05:00PM, KLSX as we know it will cease to exist. CBS Radio, the parent company of KLSX is set to throw away the FM Talk Radio format and replace it with Top 40 Radio.

This change of format left number of hosts losing their jobs, notably Adam Carolla and Tom Leykis. Along with Carolla and Leykis, the casualty list extends to Frosty Stilwell, Heidi Hamilton, Frank Kramer (all three from “Frosty, Heidi & Frank” show), Tim Conway Jr., and to some extent Danny Bonaduce.
CBS Radio feels the urge to “amp-up” their bottom line by switching to AMP-Radio format, all Top 40 all the time.

Let’s see how the FM Radio Market look like in Southern California. They are either playing the same “Top 40″ junks or speaking something other than English. Congratulations CBS Radio, you’ve just blended in perfectly with everybody else. By the way, I can still listen to podcasts and there are great Internet Radio Station such as Pandora and Last FM. I’d like to mention that I have an extensive collection of music on my shelf, I’ll just listen to them instead of your “top” 40 radio.
Adam Carolla has announced that he’d be going the Leo Laporte way and producing his own podcast at www.adamcarolla.com.
Tom Leykis is expected to make announcement on his plan after being booted of CBS Radio. The Tom Leykis Show is popular with 24-to-54-year-old-men demographic.

I have been listening to Leykis and FHF for years. They will be all be fine though. They had such great shows, so I'm sure they will be picked up by some other station. Adam Carolla will be doing webcast through his website, and I predict that Danny Bonaduce is going to have a morning show on the new Amp 97.1. He did say on todays show that he was not mentioned in the Wall Street Journal article, and if you check the 97.1 Free FM site he is not picture among the other hosts for the final show on Friday.
Danny Bonaduce just mentioned before signing off today that it was basically his last show for 97.1 Free FM.

It's amazing that radio continues to follow the same dogma which has inspired the American auto makers. In their minds there's no reason to provide anything better. Anything to fill the airtime will suffice. God awful bu##sh##. No wonder Sirius XM is the fastest growing subscription service in the country.
Tom Leykis has been a cancer on society. He is an insensitive person without any moral compass beyond making money and having sex. For years, he ridiculed anybody who made a low salary, no matter how important their role in society. He crapped on everybody from nurses to construction workers, solely on the basis of their earning power (or lack thereof). He endorsed mainstream definitions of "beauty" as defined by the advertisers who control Big Media, and although fatter than an elephant, he loved to abuse anybody he considered to be obese…..all part of his rather pathetic self-hate syndrome.
Now, if there is any Karma in the Universe, he soon will learn just how little demand exists for a hate-filled radio babbler in a society that is so very lacking in the people who perform all the REAL work (everything from building roads to treating sewage). Those are the people who should be getting proper remuneration in our society, not some worthless paper pusher on Wall Street or some useless misogynist radio jock.
I am all in favor of men learning how to deal with women, but NOT for treating them like dirtbags. Leykis spewed hate and venom to young generations who desparately NEED to learn tolerance, patience, and appreciation, given that they are so lacking in those particular character traits.

Tom Leykis did a lot of harm with his radio show. Among other things, he "taught" men how to manipulate women into having sex with them. If one of these women became pregnant, Tom Leykis was ready with his "Hail Mary," a technique that demonstrated in step-by-step detail how to trick the woman into having an abortion and then "dump" her immediately afterward. This list goes on . . .Tom is the closest thing you will find to a sociopath.
