Google Voice in Gmail, Oh Yeah!

Google has just made Google Voice even sweeter on Wednesday August 25th, 2010. Now Google Voice users can receive and make calls from Gmail. Providing the microphone and speakers are available. Notebook users should have little problems with the requirements.

You need to install “Video and voice plug-in” to enable this feature with your browser. Video and voice plug-in requires Windows XP+ or Mac OS X 10.4+ or Linux.

Google is slowly rolling out this feature to Google Voice users in the United States. So be patient.

Head to Google Voice.

  1. Tell me please when Google Voice comes to Hungary.. I has appeared for only a day on Gmail but disappeared again.
When and how can I use Google Voice?
Do I have to install anything?

I would like to use Google Voice as soon as possible and I will be grateful if you can inform me about when I will find it in my Gmail box…

    Sincerely Yours

    1. Janos,

I do not know when Google will enable Goggle Voice in Hungary. Some say that you can change your default Language in Gmail to US-English.

  2. Hi,
Thanks for this, I am using that since a while, I wonder if it is possible to use the same feature also from an android phone (I mean making the call from gmail and not from the google Voice feature)
    Thanks
    Bye
