Here we go again, macOS High Sierra Golden Master Candidate

macOS High Sierra Installation.png

Apple seeds macOS High Sierra Golden Master Candidate (build 15A372) on Thursday, September 14, 2017.

One of many known issues in macOS High Sierra is related to the new Apple File System (APFS):

  • Some third-party applications may not correctly recognize volumes that are formatted using APFS.

We’re jumping in head-first, again, into the latest macOS High Sierra build. Let’s see waht else is still broken.

As usual, we always warn against installing major macOS (formerly Mac OS X and OS X) on essential productions computer. Yes, we’re talking about you, a recording studio that shall not be named here. ?

iTunes 12.7.0, now Sans App Store

iTunes 12.7.0 Sans App Store.png

From Apple Knowledge Base:

The new iTunes focuses on music, movies, TV shows, podcasts, and audiobooks. Apps for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch are now exclusively available in the new App Store for iOS. And the new App Store makes it easy to get, update, and redownload apps—all without a Mac or PC.

In a way, iTunes the Application is becoming less complicated. There are some who uses iTunes to keep a copy of their iOS Apps, but I bet that majority of iPhone and iPad users don’t use iTunes to download iOS Apps.

Mystery UMGD Package

“We have the box!”

What is this “UMGD”?

What’s this “Friday Street Date”?

It is commemorating a 30 year anniversary of something that became really huge.

It is related to music history.

“This is Meg”, Now Available on iTunes.

Shameless plug: “This is Meg“, a film by Alex Ferrari is now available on iTunes. “This is Meg” is written, produced and also shamelessly promoted by the film star, Jill-Michele Meleán, who is a good friend of ours.

The film also features Carlos Alazraqui, another good friend of ours.

UPDATE: This is Meg is also available on Amazon Video.

Come to think of it, there are a lot of our friends in this movie. You just have to see the list.

GOT 7.2?

It is a definitely different Sunday compared to a week ago, but… horse sh………. (go rewatch “Dragonstone” if you need the reference).

…but one thing is the same; Game of Thrones Season 7.

We had productive week and an an interesting Sunday. New builds of beta softwares from a certain “fruit” company are ready for deployment in the next few days, or at least that’s what we were told. In addition to that, we’ve been using Acorn 6 for quite sometimes. Let’s make Acorn 6 as our pick of the week. This is in no way a paid product placement. We actually gave Flying Meat $14.99 minus the App Store fee to unlock Acorn 6. We would pay Flying Meat directly, but the Mac App Store is a more convenient route.

Anyway, back to rewatching Game of Thrones, Season 7 Episode 2, “Stormborn” over and over again.
