It’s all about the Immich

I might be late to the scene, but still I am so stoked about immich, a “Self-hosted photo and
video management solution”
.

I’ve just finished installing Immich (styled as immich) on a test server with proper domain name and SSL certificate. It’s a fairly underpowered server with minimal amount of RAM, which at this point is not cost effective to upgrade thanks to the rising prices.

Maybe it’s time to cancel HBO Max Subscription

HBO Max has been “cracking down” on account sharing for quite sometimes now. I first got the message some months ago, even though I technically did not share my account. I do however watch HBO Max at the office, where I have an Apple TV.

I also occasionally watch HBO Max at a home office at my friend’s house which we often do work on.

In addition to that I also use my iPad and iPhone to watch some HBO Max.

Apparently HBO Max system is flagging my account as being shared.

HBO Max, warning to subscribe to keep watching.
Verify Your HBO Max Household

The worst part is now I kept getting this message whenever I’m launching HBO Max app at home.

Maybe it’s time to cancel the subscription.

Toast the Coolest Cat, Eight Years to the Day.

Thank you for all the supports and lessons you’ve given me all those years. I’ll keep the flame on for you as long as I can.

I could have never been able to do what I have been doing all these years without your wisdom and understanding.

I raise the glass for you.

Friends of Bear Cat Rescue

Wonton T. Cat, from Friends of Bear Cat Rescue

I had been following Friends of Bear Cat Rescue for more than a year now.

It started with a post about a kitten named Wonton, who fell off a window from a 5-story building and in need of emergency surgery. Throughout Wonton’s recovery, I learned more about Friends of Bear Cat Rescue and its founder Haley. I have soft spots for animals, such as cats and I fell in love with what Haley’s been doing.

Go to Friends of Bear Cat Rescue and help them if you can.

Use built-in VPN in Firefox

To use VPN, you need to sign in with a Mozilla account. If you’re eligible, you’ll see a prompt in the Firefox toolbar inviting you to set up the feature.

I haven’t gotten the prompt yet, so that means my account is not yet eligible for the Firefox Built-in VPN.
