I tried the update form auto update and it failed. I then downloaded it and tried it again directly, but it still fails with no hint as to why.
What I would do:
Re-download the previous update and current update. Install them in order.
If it’s still not working, remove Office and reinstall.
I am having the exact same issue – failing with version 14.2.4
There were reports that some people were getting bad updates. It might be related to the location where the download is coming from.
Okay I finally got the update installed (14.2.4). Here’s what I had to do, remove office, install office again, go through the update process, it updated with 14.1.0, go to the update process again it installed 14.2.3, go to the update process again it installed 14.2.4 successfully.
Thanks Tony…
Ron – let me know if this worked for you?
Tony – I uninstalled Office and reinstalled and then updated through 2 updates and then 14.2.4 finished with no issues. Strange, but I am good to go!
