Comedy Central Pulled South Park Episode “201” Off The Air Amidst Controversy.

UPDATE:
It is also possible that Comedy Central wouldn’t be airing both “200 and “201” anymore. In addition to that both episodes might never be allowed to stream at South Park Studios. Episode “200” is now unavailable on iTunes Store.

Comedy Central has pulled South Park Episode “201” off the air, they will be showing “You Have 0 Friends” instead. At this point I cannot confirmed if Comedy Central aired “201” on Thursday night at 10:00 PM, the usual Thursday slot for new Episodes of South Park following the Wednesday Premiere and Midnight Encore. Usually South Park Studios provides stream tho the broadcast version of new episodes shortly after it premiers on Comedy Central. Within a day the uncensored versions are made available for streaming. Unfortunately Comedy Central has decided not to allow South Park Studios to stream Episode “201” in its broadcast and in its original (uncensored) version.

South Park fans also unable to watch the Episode “201” at South Park Studios site due to Comedy Central’s disapproval. Instead, fans of the show are downloading “201” from numbers of sites that provide the Episode recorded from its original broadcast on Wednesday April 21st, 2010.

Comedy Central is certainly choosing the safest path to walk on, even though it proves to be unpopular among South Park fans. Comedy Central has yet to release any official statement regarding its decision to censor the episode. In the end Comedy Central must have believed that censoring and pulling off the Episode off the air are the right thing to do.

If you feel compelled to say something to Comedy Central, please do so in a civilized manner. Remember that The United States of America values the Freedom of Speech. Comedy Central has the right to censor any South Park Episodes, and you have the right to tell them how you feel about it.

Comedy Central does not approve Uncensored version of South Park Episode 201.

South Park: Season 14 Episode 5 – “200” is no longer available on iTunes Store. It is possible that the “current version” of the episode is pulled by Comedy Central. Some readers confirmed. It is also possible that both Episodes “200” and “201” will never see the light of day anymore.

We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn’t some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle’s customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn’t mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too.

UPDATE:
Want to file complaints to Comedy Central? Here’s the link.

According to South Park Studios, Comedy Central deliberately bleeped out all mentions of Muhammad from the “201” Episode. In addition to that Comedy Central prohibits South Park Studios from streaming “201” original version that lacks of the audio bleeps. South Park Studios promises to post a version of the episode as soon as possible per Comedy Central approval.

“201” is the second part of a two parter, following the 200th Episode aptly titled “200” which aired a week before. In “200” the mention of the name Muhammad was not bleeped out.

Comedy Central is certainly picking their battle carefully, but not necessarily wisely. Buddha was seen sniffing Cocaine in “200” and “201” while Jesus was said to be viewing Internet porn in the 201st Episode.

More on this.

Comedy Central would not approve “201” to be streamed uncensored at SouthParkStudios.com; thus the episode is currently unavailable for streaming on the official site. Comedy Central also doesn’t want you to download the episode from sites such as MrTwig.net/SouthParkFiles.com or any other South Park related sites. What can you do? What would you do?

“We Apologize that South Park Studios cannot stream Episode 201 at this time.

After we delivered the show, and prior to broadcast, Comedy Central placed numerous additional audio bleeps throughout the episode. We do not have the network approval to stream our original version of the show.

We will bring you a version of 201 as soon as we can.”

There is this little thing called “Freedom of Speech” in the U.S.A., so don’t take it for granted. If you feel like complaining to Comedy Central, please do so through this link.

iPhone OS 4.0 beta 2: Emoji is back!

According to our source, Emoji is available again in iPhone OS 4.0 beta 2. In beta 1, for some reasons Emoji option could not be enabled, unless the OS was upgraded from iPhone OS 3.x. It is now categorized simply as “Emoji” inthe International Keyboard selections. Previously it was part of Japanese Keyboards.

If you’re reading this on an iPhone, 

Another note from our imaginary source that iPhone OS 4.0 beta 2 is a lot more stable than beta 1 as expected.

Calling Captain Obvious, 17-inch MacBook Pro is larger than 15-inch MacBook Pro.

I thought that I would never figure this out, but thanks to AppleInsider I finally understand.

Disadvantages of the 17″ MacBook Pro

Apart from being $300 more, the 17″ version is a pound heavier than the 15″ model and 1.1″ wider and 0.7″ deeper (it’s also a hair thicker). It won’t fit into sleeves for 15″ models, and won’t fit into a variety of bags or backpacks intended for “regular sized” laptops.

Once again, thanks AppleInsider for pointing out that 17-inch MacBook Pro is larger and heavier than its 15-inch counterpart. You know how much I hate having MacBook Pro with smaller screen to be bigger and heavier than the one with larger screen. What an observation! Without this information I’d be cursing the day while trying to fit the 17-inch MacBook Pro into a 15-inch MacBook Pro sleeve.

iLounge and MacRumors have jumped into conclusions.

I’ve been reading quite a lot of things regarding iPhone OS 4.0 Beta (1) on a lot of sites. One tiny “topic” suddenly made me write this post.

From MacRumors:
Apple Removes ‘Google’ Branding from iPhone 4 Safari

iLounge, however, also noted that in iPhone 4’s Safari application, Apple has removed the “Google” branding from the search button and simply replaced it with “Search”. While seemingly a minor detail, Apple has been said to be in discussions with Microsoft to replace Google as the default search engine on the iPhone. If this were to happen, Google would likely still be a user enable-able option.

From iLounge:
New in iPhone OS 4: The Full App-by-App Breakdown

Safari. “Google” has been replaced next to the keyboard’s space bar with the word “Search.” Ouch.

“Ouch???????”

iLounge only looked into one thing, but not the whole thing.

It is true that Apple “removes” the word “Google” and replaces it with “Search” in Safari button. iLounge failed to investigate that Apple also replaces “Yahoo!” with “Search” in Safari button.

iPhone OS 3.2.3 Safari – Google
iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 1 Safari – Google
iPhone OS 3.2.3 Safari – Yahoo!
iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 1 Safari – Yahoo!

Basically iLounge and MacRumors are fanning the flame with regards to Apple-vs-Google stories. They are reading too much into it.

It is basically the same things with the whole Megadeth-vs-Metallica, where the fans are making it worse.

iPhone OS 4 requires newer version of iTunes.

UPDATE 2010.04.20:
If you have iPhone SDK 4 beta 2 installed, iTunes 9.1 will have no problem backing up the iPhone with OS 4.0 beta installed.

UPDATE 2010.04.10:
iTunes 9.1 definitely does not support iPhone OS 4.0 Folders. If you have folders in your iPhone home-screen, iTunes 9.1 will definitely fail to backup the iPhone. In one test, we’ve successfully performed backup and sync an iPhone 3GS (OS 4.0 Beta 1) with iTunes 9.1 where Folders were not present anywhere on the Home Screen.

According to reports, developers are having backup-problems with iPhone OS 4 and iTunes. iTunes 9.1 displayed a message “backup failed because it was refused by the iPhone.” It is apparent that a newer build of iTunes is required to fully interact with iPhone OS 4. Some Developers also reported that Folders on iPhone home screen were undone right after syncing with iTunes 9.1.

As Apple has done in the past, a special build of iTunes should be made available to developers.
