FCC Voted for Net Neutrality

Today the FCC voted three to two to reclassify broadband Internet access as a common carrier service under Title II of the Communications Act, and forbear from the parts of the Act that aren’t necessary for net neutrality rules. This reclassification gives the FCC the authority to enact (and enforce) narrow, clear rules which will help keep the Internet the open platform it is today.
Three out of five FCC Commissioners voted for “Net Neutrality”. Historic moment, but there are still a long way to go.
Save the Date: March 9, 2015 Apple Special Event “Spring Forward”
Apple has sent invitations to March 9, 2015 Special Event aptly titled “Spring Forward” at Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco. The event will be streamed live at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 9, 2015.
Ignore any rumors about iPad and MacBook Air, this event is primarily about Apple Watch. A few developers will be demoing their Apple Watch App on stage.
MacBook Pro Repair Extension Program for Video Issues
Apple has just announced MacBook Pro Repair Extension Program for Video Issues on Thursday, February 19, 2015.
Apple has determined that a small percentage of MacBook Pro systems may exhibit distorted video, no video, or unexpected system restarts. These MacBook Pro systems were sold between February 2011 and December 2013.
Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider will repair affected MacBook Pro systems, free of charge. See below for details on affected models and service options.
As of February 20, 2015, the repair process will be available in the U.S. and Canada. In other countries, it will be available as of February 27, 2015.
I have encountered numerous 2011 MacBook Pro with the video issues. Two of them were repaired out-of-warranty in the past 3 months. I spoke to an AppleCare representative and was informed that Apple will reimburse the repair costs.

Photos App for OS X Yosemite 10.10.3
Apple seeds OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 build 14D72i to developers on Thursday, February 5, 2015 along with Photos App.
Photos App for OS X Yosemite looks similar to Photos App for iOS 8. It performs really well on 2014 Core i7 MacBook Pro.
Apple says that Photos App is coming Spring 2015, which ends on June 20; after WWDC.
