No News on the First Day of April.

There are absolutely no news whatsoever today.

P.S. According to an Apple employee who accompanied Tim Cook to Foxconn China factory but is not in any of the pictures:

If you are still calling the next iPhone with the name “iPhone 5” then you are such a fool! It is not “iPhone LTE” either. It will be called “iPhone 4G LTE USA edition” in the US. Outside the US it’ll be called “iPhone Ultra-Fast network non-USA edition”.

Seriously, it is not “iPhone 5”.

UI Glitch.

I noticed the Square Card Reader app version 2.2.6 has a UI glitch. It goes back to normal after I deleted the app state.

What “CANCEL” button?

A follow up to yesterday post regarding new Malware attack. I received a phone call Friday morning about the same malware. It comes from different website but it definitely the same kind of malware.

Am I supposed to press the “CANCEL” button? Where is it?

Websites that have hacked .htaccess file redirects to:

  • centerdebuggerthreat.info
  • testingsolutionon-line.info

The fake Windows Antivirus 2012 is running within a web browser (Google Chrome, in this particular case) on a Windows 7, but showing Windows XP interface.

Another malware attack.

I received a call from a client regarding malware on his customer’s website. It redirects to http:// stecdon . ru/ and displays the fake “your computer has been infected” page that resembles a security software.

I have yet been able to contact the owner of the website regarding the malware.

I’ll post more details when I have it.

UPDATE:

The same infected site redirests to:

  • tropas dot ru
  • stecdon dot ru

An Eighty-Two-Year-Old purchased her first computer and it is an iPad.

An Eighty-Two-Year-Old walked into an Apple Store and within 20 minutes purchased her first computer, an iPad.

On Wednesday afternoon I called a nearby Apple Store inquiring the availability of the new iPad for my client. They had limited selections of iPad on hand and I was advised to visit the Apple Store as soon as possible. So I drove my client to the Apple Store and immediately greeted by an Apple Store employee. We waited for about 10 minutes for our turn. While waiting, my client decided to get the white iPad. Shortly after, an Apple Store employee named Tyler helped my client purchased an iPad 16 GB with Verizon 4G LTE.

She was really excited about the iPad, and she is treating it as her first computer ever. Initially she was having trouble getting used to with the touch screen due to her long nails. After an hour of use, she knows how to compose and send emails, browse the internet using Safari and taking pictures using the iPad camera.

It is pretty incredible to see someone who never used computer in her life now using an iPad.

Seriously, AOL?

AOL toolbar suggests users to disable “unwanted” toolbars.

How about this, uninstall all toolbars including AOL toolbar.
