UPS dropped off a package at the office about an hour ago. Well, it is a relatively small package. Yep, it’s the Nexus 7. I promised that I would’t be doing any unboxing stuff, so I won’t. In addition to that, I still have a few things to work on. I’ll save the Nexus 7 for later tonight.
Nexus 7, The Wait.
A lot of people have received their Nexus 7 on Monday July 16th, 2012. I on the other hand would be receiving one sometimes later today.
My colleague suggested we all should go to Pick Up Stix for lunch today and we did. Then I get this fortune:
A small lucky package is on its way to you soon.
Well played, as long as this Nexus 7 is in a relatively small package.
Microsoft Office (2013) Customer Preview
Whatever it is called; Microsoft Office 2013 or the new Microsoft Office customer preview is available.
Am I the only one who think the Microsoft Office logo resembles some kind of door? Where are the walls? Life with Microsoft is life without walls.
iCloud an IPv6.
Nexus 7 is now shipping.
Hax-o-rama!
NVIDIA Forums (forums.nvidia.com) was recently hacked.
Posted July 12, 2012
NVIDIA suspended operations of the NVIDIA Forums (forums.nvidia.com) last week.
We did this in response to suspicious activity and immediately began an investigation. We apologize that our continuing investigation is taking this long. Know that we are working around the clock to ensure that secure operations can be restored.
Our investigation has identified that unauthorized third parties gained access to some user information, including:
- username
- email address
- hashed passwords with random salt value
- public-facing “About Me” profile information
NVIDIA did not store any passwords in clear text. “About Me” optional profiles could include a user’s title, age, birthdate, gender, location, interests, email and website URL – all of which was already publicly accessible.
Earlier on Thursday, username and passwords from multiple services were stolen. It’s a Hax-o-rama Thursday.
Digg, I’ve heard of it.
So Digg is finally acquired but for a lot less. In 2008 Digg was valued at $175 millions, and in 2012 it is acquired for roughly $16 millions.
