50 Years Ago, They Put a Man on the Moon

I’m singing the chorus to R.E.M.’s 1992 song “Man on the Moon“.

“If you believed they put a man on the moon”

Apollo 11 was launched on July 16, 1969 and four days some hours later, they put a man on the Moon. To be exact, they put two men on the Moon. Commander Neil Armstrong, and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin became the first and second humans to ever stepped on the Moon… that we know of! 😜

Since then, we as human collective on this earth, landed on the Moon 5 more times.

Maybe someday we would have an Amusement Park on the Moon, where Whalers are carrying harpoons.
