NEW YORK, April 6, 2009 – Creative differences ruin friendships in an all-new episode of “South Park” titled, “Fishsticks,” premiering on Wednesday, April 8 at 10:00 p.m. on COMEDY CENTRAL.

Cartman decides to help Jimmy with his comedy routine. Everyone loves the new joke they come up with. The joke starts to take off and it even hits all the late night talk shows. The boys are thrilled with how popular it’s become until somebody tries to take all the credit.

Will RIAA Sue Lars Ulrich for Downloading “Death Magnetic” Off Bit Torrent?

In the ultimate sense of irony, Lars Ulrich told Wired that he downloaded the whole “Death Magnetic” using Bit Torrent. Back in April 2000 Ulrich spearheaded Metallica’s suit against Napster for copyright infringement.

Now the question is, will RIAA sue Lars Ulrich for downloading “Death Magnetic” using Bit Torrent? Well, RIAA has been suing people left and right for allegedly downloading music from P2P networks. Bit Torrent is one of those P2P networks.

iTunes 8.1 Release Is Imminent

Apple is planning to release iTunes 8.1 on as early as Wednesday March 11th, 2009.

In addition to that Apple has released iPhone Remote.app 1.2 that adds bug fixes and compatibility with iTunes 8.1.

iTunes 8.1 is available for Mac OS X (Tiger and Leopard) and Windows (XP and Vista).

iLife ’09 and Mac Box Set are Arriving on Tuesday

At MacWorld San Francisco 2009, Apple announced that iLife ’09 would be shipping sometimes in late January. On Monday January 26th, 2009 Apple announced that iLife ’09 would start shipping on January 27th, 2009. Some reported that Best Buy had started selling iLife ’09 on Monday January 26th.

Apple has started fulfilling pre-orders of iLife ’09 and Mac Box Set on Monday and most are arriving on Tuesday January 27th. I’m waiting for the Mac Box Set to arrive at anytime today as it is being delivered by FedEx.

Mac Box Set offers a great value for those buying both iLife ’09 and iWork ’09. It comes with the latest Mac OS X disc for an extra $10 on the retail price. Remember that most of newer Macs comes with its own Mac OS X install disc that wold only work with specific models. If you bought a Mac Pro 6 months prior and you could not find your discs, Mac Box Set is the answer.

iLife ’09, iWork ’09, and Mac Box Set are now available for purchase from Apple and many other retailers.

Recap: Steve Jobs, Circuit City, Songsmith, and Palm Pre

There are a lot of news items that I have not writte about yet for the past 7 days. It’s time for me to catch up with them.

Steve Jobs is going on a medical leave of absence.

January 14th, 2009
Apple CEO Steve Jobs today sent the following email to all Apple employees:

In order to take myself out of the limelight and focus on my health, and to allow everyone at Apple to focus on delivering extraordinary products, I have decided to take a medical leave of absence until the end of June.

Palm Pre, the would be savior of Palm.

Palm is back with a new OS and new SmartPhone in the form of Palm Pre. It looks promising so far, and some anti-Apple movement crowd are hoping that Palm Pre would be the iPhone killer.

Apple Recommends Amazon Mobile

Drumroll please. Apple App Store Pick of the Week is: Amazon Mobile.

This is something refreshing since Amazon MP3 Store is the closest and best competition to iTunes Store. At this point, Amazon Mobile does not allow direct MP3 download on the iPhone and iPod touch yet.

Let’s see if Apple will let Amazon sells MP3 direct to iPhone and iPod touch.
