All Private Google Profiles to be deleted for Google+ sake.

UPDATE:
Clarifications from Google:

If you currently have a private profile but you do not wish to make your profile public, you can delete your profile. Or, you can simply do nothing. All private profiles will be deleted after July 31, 2011.

That’s more like it. I’ve deleted my personal Google Profile anyway.

Search Engine Land reported that Google+ Profiles Will Be Public: Google To Terminate All Private Profiles After July 31st.

Good move, Google. I just remembered to delete my Google Profile, the personal one. I do have a different account that has no personal information other than my professional experience.

Let’s take a look at part of my to-do-list:

  • Delete Facebook Profile – done
  • Delete personal Google Profile – done
  • Not joining Google+ – done

What’s next Google? What about fending off Microsoft from threatening manufacturers over Android and Chrome?

Reasons number (2π+f) not to like Facebook, contact-exporting tools are blocked.

Facebook is apparently blocking contact-exporting tool as reported by CNET and ZDNet. Does anyone remember when you first created a Facebook account, you were asked to upload your address book, be it from Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, etc? That’s one way Facebook created a tailored Social Network around you. In time you want to export all the contacts info from Facebook to other service such as the newly launched Google+, Facebook is saying no.

I do not know the details on Facebook contact-exporting policy because I got rid off my account a while ago. This is one more reason why I’m glad I no longer have a Facebook account.

Happy 4th of July.

We’re celebrating Independence Day on the 4th of July in The United States. As usual there were gathering, food and fireworks. Less time scouring on the Internet for news.

There were the Sheriff cars visiting the area because some people got too carried away with their fireworks.

Star Trek on Netflix, beam me and sign me up!

Star Trek is now on Netflix according to TekGoblin and others. I also heard the news on Tech News Today this past Friday July 1st, 2011 if memories served correctly.

Let’s recap:

  • I watched Star Trek The Original Series on re-run in the 80’s.
  • I followed Star Trek: The Next Generation since its premiere till “All Good Things…”
  • I watched a few first episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
  • I kinda watched Star Trek: Voyager and kinda bored with it.
  • I watched Enterprise for one and a half season, then for some reason kept missing it.

I have watched all Star Trek Movies and looking forward to the next one despite major plot loopholes in Star Trek (2009).

Time to get on Netflix.

p.s. I did get to meet Jolene Blalock on an MTV event when Enterprise wa still on production.

Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax performed “Helpless” in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

The Big Four 2011 European Tour kicked off on July 2nd, 2011 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Megadeth .com broke the news that Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax (sans Scott Ian plus Andreas Kisser) performed Diamond Head’s classic “Helpless” together. Slayer members didn’t join the jam due to what they called “travel arrangement”.

Next The Big Four show will be in Gothenburg, Sweden on July 3rd, 2011.
