AT&T backpedals and axes iPad unlimited data plan.

It only took a little bit over a month after the release of iPad WiFi+3G, AT&T axes the unlimited data plan. For some reasons this feels like some kind of bait-and-switch scheme. One of the most attractive feature of iPad WiFi+3G is the $30 unlimited data plan (Apple iPad 3G page).

For new iPad customers, the $25 per month 2 GB plan will replace the existing $29.99 unlimited plan. iPad customers will continue to pre-pay for their wireless data plan and no contract is required. Existing iPad customers who have the $29.99 per month unlimited plan can keep that plan or switch to the new $25 per month plan with 2 GB of data.

iPad 3G Data Plans as of June 1st, 2010.

Way to go, AT&T!

Is AT&T losing iPhone exclusivity in a really near future?

Brain Not Needed: Microsoft’s Bing is iPhone-bound in Apple WWDC 2010.

Previously on “Brain Not Needed”:

Steve Ballmer was going to make an appearance on Steve Jobs WWDC 2010 Keynote introducing Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. A brainless analyst claimed that Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 supports native codes for iPhone, iPad and Mac OS X. Then the same brainless analyst retracted the statement.

It is more likely that Apple would be adding Bing search engine into iPhone OS Safari. It will not, however, replaced Google and Yahoo! search. Then again, since Yahoo! is also using Bing search engine. As long as Apple is not dropping Yahoo! search, Bing is making it to the iPhone Safari.

It is more logical for Apple to add Bing and Yahoo! into Safari search; for all platforms.

It is unlikely for Apple to remove Google from the approved search engine for the iPhone.

The last time I checked, Karate is a Japanese Martial Art and Jackie Chan is not.

I first saw the billboard for The Karate Kid movie while I was driving on the freeway, then I saw the trailer. I have heard that Jackie Chan was going to be the master and some kid with last name Smith was going to be the Karate Kid. Here’s what’s wrong with this movie: why?

Have Hollywood lost their minds?

Part of Hollywood have lost their minds long ago, with all the unnecessary remakes and total lack of original ideas. There were three Karate Kid movies in the 80’s and one in the 90’s. Now Hollywood think that we all need another Karate Kid. Unfortunately they got it all wrong already. “Karate Kid” in China? I thought that Karate is a Japanese martial art. Not only that Hollywood is lacking originality, but they also lacking the ability to write decent scripts.

Apparently all Asians are the same. Maybe Hollywood should make a movie where all the Asian character played by non-Asians. Wait a minute, M. Night Shyamalan is already doing it.

Will Smith probably is going after me for bashing this movie.

What’s next? A remake of American Pie that takes place in Canada?

Brain Not Needed: Ballmer at Apple WWDC and Visual Studio writes native codes iPhone, iPad and Mac OS X.

Seriously, I need to get a job as a “Analyst” now. Think about the ridiculous amount of money people are willing to pay me for some random analysis I made up.

Steve Ballmer at WWDC? Unlikely.

Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 to write native codes for iPhone, iPad and Mac OS X? Seriously? Apparently someone needs attention really bad. Writing Mac OS X apps in Windows, that’s making as much sense as giving Carlos Mencia his own show.

Don’t know what I’m ranting about? Ask John Gruber.

MobileMe Mail Beta is Somewhat iPad Ready.

Apple is rolling out MobileMe Mail Beta to members who signed up for the beta. As expected, the new Mail Beta is somewhat iPad ready.

This is particulary handy because sometimes some other people might want to check their MobileMe Mail. Currently it is impossible to use the iPhone or iPod touch for guests to check their MobileMe Mail without having to login through the Mail App.
