Futurama pokes fun at Apple with eyePhone.

In the third episode of the new season, Futurama pokes fun at Apple with the eyePhone. Mimicking real life, the episode “Attack of The Killer App” shows:

  • People are lining up to buy the eyePhone.
  • People don’t care if it costs a lot of money.
  • People don’t care if there’s no Carrier choice.
  • People don’t care if the battery doesn’t hold charges.

By the way, Planet Express Crews also figured out that the eyePhone also makes calls.

Other tidbits from the episode:

  • The Real Housewives of Sim City
  • Mentos
  • Twit-worm
  • Spybot
  • Susan Boils that sings show-tunes.

Microsoft, I Hate You!

One more reason why Microsoft’s Windows Genuine Advantage is annoying and bad.

WGA, not to be confused with Writers Guild of America or World Canadian Bureau, is simply annoying. Microsoft does not trust Windows users. In this case, Windows XP was factory pre-installed by Gateway before Windows Vista days. Microsoft Security Essentials was installed previously and passed WGA. So suddenly this meesage came up on not one but two computers. The second one was purchased from Dell with Windows XP pre-installed in March 2010.

Another Text Spam: 1-949-439-5924

I received another Text Spam message on June 21st, 2010. Don’t bother calling (949) 439-5924 back, because it doesn’t take any phone calls.. All you need to do is to file complaints to FCC because such unsolicited text messages violate CAN-SPAM Act. I inquired AT&T who is my service provider, but they are no help at all.

You should file form 1088G to report this violation. File a complaint on FCC site http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

You can also call 1-888-CALL-FCC (1-888-2255-322) voice; 1-888-TELL-FCC (1-888-8355-322) TTY.

The text reads:

Wipe out 55% of credit card, and any unsecured debt. Must be 10K or more. 100% guarantee. To have representative call you, reply – YES

Text-Spam does violate the Communication Act of 1934.

Futurama is Back, Baby!

June 24th, 2010

What a glorious day! We’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time. Well, while some of you were still recovering from waiting in line outside the Apple Store, I’m enjoying new episodes of Futurama! By the way, I cancelled my iPhone 4 order that I supposed to pick up on the 24th.

Two new Futurama episodes air on Comedy Central and I am complaining that they feel too short. I want more!

Anyway, the Premiere Episode of the new season picked up where it left off in “Into The Wild Green Yonder” movie.

Despite of my disapproval of Comedy Central’s handling of South Park episode 200 and 201, I am watching Futurama.

In the meantime, you can collect Futurama DVD’s:

What are you waiting for? You know where to watch Futurama!
