Google is reportedly moving to patch a Wi-Fi Data Leak in Android. Android devices running Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread are not affected with the exception of Picasa http request.
To my recollection, there are less than a handful of Android devices running version 2.3.4 (and above) including Nexus One, Nexus S and Nexus S 4G. The upcoming Motorola Droid X2 will come with Android 2.2 Froyo.

You’ve read all the rumors about Apple celebrating its Retail Stores’ Tenth Year Anniversary, and at the moment of this posting Apple Store Online goes Down for maintenance. The first Apple Stores opened on May 19th, 2001 at Tysons Corner in McLean, Virginia, and the Glendale Galleria in Glendale, California.
Even though Apple Store, Glendale Galleria was the second Apple Store to open, it bears R001 designation as the first Apple Retail Store. Surprisingly Apple Store, Tysons Corner bears R010 designation even though it was the first one to open a few hours ahead of Apple Retail, Glendale Galleria.
We’ll find out what Apple would do for its Retail Stores’ Tenth Year Anniversary.
Lodsys explains why it’s not after Apple but only the developers for In-App Purchasing. Apple is licensed to use their patent, as a matter of fact both Google and Microsoft are also licensed.
Lodys sets the licensing fees:
Lodsys is seeking 0.575% of US revenue over for the period of the notice letter to the expiration of the patent, plus applicable past usage. So on an application that sells US$1m worth of sales in a year, the licensee would have an economic exposure of $5,750 per year.
Lodsys also mentions that it has been getting a lot of hate mails including some death threats.

On Friday May 13th, 2011 some iOS App Developers revealed that they are being sued by Lodsys for In-App Purchases and Upgrade Links. This lawsuit baffles many developers since Developers are using API in iOS SDK provided by Apple for In-App Purchasing. Lodsys so far is suing the Developers, but not Apple.
Adam C. Engst provided a great analysis on the matter.
It’s entirely unclear why Lodsys has chosen this approach — their lawyers have undoubtedly read the iOS Developer Program License Agreement and know that the iOS developers can’t settle. And they’ve chosen such small targets that there’s no way they could even cover their legal fees with what they could squeeze out. The only strategy that makes sense is that by targeting small developers, they put additional pressure on Apple to settle quickly.
Apple should respond to this lawsuit even though it is not yet directed at them.

Apple’s proprietary SATA Hard-Drive Power Connector in the 2011 iMac is something new. Apple may have caught vendors like Other World Computing off guard, but it is not unanticipated. Since the introduction of iMac G5 with built-in iSight camera in 2005, it has been a daunting task to replace the hard-drive on this all-in-one computer.
Having a thermal sensor on the hard-drive itself is nice. Would this become an industry standard? Apple does not act alone, at least one hard-drive manufacturer is in on it.
Bad news if:
Los Angeles Times reports that Facebook disables account of attorney Mark S. Zuckerberg.
