NetShare to The Rescue

Here I am stranded in a place where the Wi-Fi is not open or free. I need to access something and I couldn’t do it on the iPhone. What to do?

Wait a minute, I did buy NetShare when it was first made available. I actually am making this post through NetShare.

Note to AT&T: Let this happen!

Yerba Buena Center For The Art – Apple “Let’s Rock”

The presence of Apple at the Yerba Buena Center For The Art can be seen through the giant poster for the event and Apple Security team all around the building.

The crews are putting some finishing touches on the venue. The camera crews are already put in place. Some closed circuit TV are being tested.

The products are said to be delivered sometimes in late Monday evening.

Can’t really tell you what they are yet.

Anxiety, iPhone, Insomnia, Apple, and “Let’s Rock”

Well, this is the second night of my “Bay Area Trip” and I can’t really sleep. Today I get to spend some “quality-time” in an office and had a tasty lunch. Sunday, I’m heading back to the North Beach area to do some sleuthing on this one company. They are holding some special event this Tuesday September 9th in some Art Center; Yerba Buena or some place with that name. Yeah, they have some giant poster covering one side of the building with colors and such. I asked one of the people preparing the place for the event. Apparently they don’t even know what it is about either; or so they say. What I found is that some special boxes will be delivered with discretions sometimes on Monday night. I bet they have some smart chimp wearing some kind of hat. Even better, they might have some girder-bending robot likes to smoke cigars and drinks beer. I guess I have to find out what it i about on Tuesday morning, or do I?

I’m still wide awake but I have to go to bed really soon. I have a big day on Sunday, with all the stealthy work and all. I looked inside my screen capture folder and found some stuff I want to post. So, this is practically random.

In closing, “Let’s Rock”…….

…….on Tuesday!

Made-Up Rumor: Apple to Announce Completely New Product on “Let’s Rock” Event

UPDATE: 2 pictures from September 07th, 2008 are added.

Here I am somewhere in the Bay Area not too far from Apple’s HQ (Cupertino) digging for something that technically doesn’t exist. After meeting with an imaginary Apple Employee, I was shown an imaginary product from Apple that might be making its debut at the “Let’s Rock” event on September 9th, 2008. The imaginary Apple Employee who does not resemble Phil Schiller at all, told me that the new product would be made available for retail as early as this Holiday Season, if not it would make its debut in MacWorld San Francisco 2009 (January 5-9, 2009).

A short trip (well, it’s not that short) to Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco reveals some clue on what the “Let’s Rock” event is all about. Unfortunately, no products seems to be present at the venue today (Saturday). The imaginary Apple employee mentions that it is not all about the iPod, there’s something more. As a matter of fact, Apple’s creative team are currently brainstorming on a new catch phrase to replace the now classic “One More Thing” slogan. Allegedly, Steve Jobs would not do the “ultra-secret-encore” to introduce the new product if they can’t come up with the new catch phrase. All I can say is: “WOW!”

I have about 24 more hours to sneak around and find out more about Apple “Let’s Rock” event. I’ll be reporting more fake rumors (*wink* *wink*) about the event soon.

All in all I was having fun using the iPhone on the Lombard Street just like what Apple did.

Microsoft Makes People Talking About Its Ad Campaign

Microsoft has released the first ad featuring Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld. According to the software giant, the ad is only the tip of the iceberg in the attempt to salvage the company’s image due to poor Windows Vista perceptions. Microsoft’s defenders are hoping the ad would fire back at Apple for all the “Get A Mac” attack ads.

One thing everyone seems to agree, the “Shoe Circus” doesn’t make any sense at all. Microsoft assures that the ad will make sense somehow as it progresses.

One thing is definitely wrong with this campaign. It makes a bad first impression. No matter what Microsoft wil unveil next, there will always be that bitter aftertaste of this first ad.

On the other hand, this ad campaign is accidentally genius, because now the series of tubes are talking about it. They say that bad publicity is stilla publicity.

Microsoft is definitely on to something, and this time they are talking about “nothing”.

Just look for “Shoe Circus” for the ad.
