What’s new in the iPhone SDK 3.2 beta 4? I do not know yet, because I don’t have it. Must be more of the iPad related stuff.

As usual there’s this thing called NDA (Never Disrespect Apple) in effect, so no informations that I could gather at this time.

Need to tune your Guitar? Gibson has an App for that.

There are times when I need to de-tune my guitar down to Q and I had no tuner handy. Thanks to Gibson for their iPhone App that includes tuner and metronome.

Partial description:

FEATURES:

  • A professional quality Chromatic Tuner that will allow you to tune any instrument using the iPhone microphone (or iPod Touch with microphone attachment)
  • Alternate Tuning settings so you can quickly and easily tune your guitar to various alternate tunings, including Open G, Low C, Drop D, Eb and others.
  • A Standard Mode Tuner that allows you to tune each string to a sample tone
  • An accurate Metronome with multiple time signatures, visual and audio options, and a set-your-own tempo tap pad
  • A Chord Library with a sample of the essential chords for every player beginner to advanced

Did I forget to mention that it’s free?

Still, there’s no instruction to downtune to Q.

California DMV, there’s an App for that.

If you live in California, need to do any business with DMV and you have an iPhone; there’s an App for that.

I never expected California DMV would have an iPhone App.

News Release
California DMV Now (dmv.ca.gov)
iTunes Page (Apple.com)

DMV Now is also compatible with iPod touch, internet connection required.

Now, where’s my License Plate sticker for 2010?

I just checked iTunes Store if DMV in other States had any Apps, so for I found none.

Apple enables “Find My iPhone” in Safari Mobile.

Apple has now enabled “Find My iPhone” feature on Mobile Safari. Why would you want to find the iPhone on an iPhone? Well, it would be handy to use a friend’s iPhone to find your mislocated iPhone.

This is one step for Apple to improve MobileMe service. Now, it would even be better to be able to access MobileMe email from Safari Browser. There are times when someone who is also a MobileMe member needed to check the MobileMe email on friend’s phone.

MobileMe iDisk App Update is Available.

If you’re an iPhone and MobileMe user, get the MobileMe iDisk App update now.

MobileMe is available from Apple for $99.99 (Single User) and $149.99 (Family Pack). Go to Apple Retail Store, and often they will sell you MobileMe on a discounted price.

If you’re want to get MobileMe, get it from Amazon for an everyday discounted price (2010.02.17).

If you’re not a MobileMe user, I recommend Dropbox. Even if you’re not an iPhone user, Dropbox is highly recommended.
