Apple: The iPhone LTE Dilemma

Many expect Apple to unveil its next generation of iPhone in a few weeks (read: September/October 2012). Many also expect Apple to add LTE support into the next iPhone just like the iPad (3). As we all know already, the iPad (3) is LTE capable, but only in North American network. Would the next iPhone share a similar LTE spec with iPad (3)? If so, then the next iPhone LTE would not be an LTE device outside North American network.

Certainly it would be impractical to add every single LTE band in a tightly packed iPhone.

Does that mean the name “iPhone LTE” is not one of the names of the next iPhone?

The need for bandwidth diet.

How can I survive for the next 27 days with 344 MB of cellular data? This is what happened to me for watching the Mars Rover Curiosity landing broadcast on the cellular data instead of Wi-Fi.

Crazy Talk: The New Apple Connector

There are some indications from Cupertino that the supposedly new Apple Dock Connector is also backward compatible with Micro-USB connector. I personally cannot confirm the validity of this information since certain Apple employees had previously revealed some misdirecting-informations.

In somewhat related news, key Apple employees are China-bound in early September to oversee productions at Foxconn factories.
