iPod Original 12 Years Bad Religion White Christmas

The original iPod was introduced at Apple Campus by the late Steve Jobs on October 23, 2001. It went on sale on November 10, 2001 and retailed for $399 MSRP.

Twelve years later, the iPod pre-ordered on October 23, 2001 is still in my possession. It still works.

I loaded a collection of Christmas songs from iTunes Music Store which is the latest cash-grab-attempts by Bad Religion, aptly titled “Christmas Songs“.

I used this iPod for many years until I got a free iPod mini in the Summer 2004 thanks to Apple’s “Back to School” promotion.

App and Hardware: Automatic

I’ve just picked up an Automatic Link at an Apple Store earlier today. I have yet to install it on my car.

Automatic Link and Sticker

I’ve heard of Automatic for quite some times but I did not bother to buy it directly from their site. Now that Apple Store carries the Automatic Link, I bought one using EasyPay.

Automatic App is compatible with iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s. Public Beta of Automatic App for Android is coming in December. Only a few Android devices are currently supported.

Apple Knowledge Base on Creating a bootable OS X installer in OS X Mavericks

OS-X-Mavericks-Bootable-USB-Installer

Apple Knowledge Base on creating a bootable OS X installer in OS X Mavericks:

Follow these steps to create a bootable OS X installer:

  1. Use the Mac App Store to download the OS X installer app.
  2. Mount the volume you wish to convert into a bootable installer. This could be removable media, such as a USB flash drive, or a secondary internal partition.
  3. Use the createinstallmedia tool to convert the volume from step two into a bootable installer based off the installer app from step one. To learn how to use createinstallmedia, execute this command in Terminal:

/Applications/Install OS X Mavericks.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia

You may need to adjust the path to the OS X installer app in the above command.

Note: createinstallmedia is only intended to be used with the version of OS X installer app it came with.
