A Keynote Presentation.

I’m doing a last minute rundown for a Keynote presentation I’m doing today somewhere in Florida. In 10 minutes, I’ll be connecting the MacBook Pro to the projector.

One Hundred Billion Dollars!

What would Apple do with their 100 billion Dollars? We’ll find out soon enough, or so we think.

From Apple P.R.:

Apple Conference Call
WHAT: Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, and Peter Oppenheimer, Apple’s CFO, will host a conference call to announce the outcome of the Company’s discussions concerning its cash balance. Apple® will not be providing an update on the current quarter nor will any topics be discussed other than cash.

WHERE: Via conference call. The dial-in number for press is (877) 616-0063 (toll-free) or (719) 219-0041. Please enter confirmation code 592016.

WHEN: Monday, March 19, 2012 at 6:00 a.m. PDT/9:00 a.m. EDT

It is pretty peculiar that Apple calls such Conference Call within a short notice.

Picked up an iPad, going back to work.

I picked up an iPad, 32 GB, Black, 4G LTE for Verizon model at Apple Store South Coast Plaza about an hour ago. I am heading back to work.

There will be none of:

  • Unboxing
  • Re-boxing
  • Shadow boxing
  • Booting up
  • Pictures of the screen
  • etc.

There are already a lot of people doing that, so I’m going to come up with something different. Providing my lazy-sleep-depraved self does not take over.

One reason to choose Verizon 4G LTE: Mobile Hot Spot.

If I were to get an iPad with 4G LTE, I’d get the one on Verizon network. That’s because Verizon includes Mobile Hot Spot into the plan.

From Verizon Wireless iPad page:

Mobile Hot Spot Support For The New iPad.
Verizon is the only carrier in the U.S. that allows the new iPad Wi-Fi + 4G to act as a personal mobile hotspot. This means you can share your Verizon 4G LTE network with up to 5 Wi-Fi enabled devices (such as a computer, gaming device or camera). And the best part? This personal hotspot is available at no extra charge and simply uses your data allowance.

Dear AT&T, I am not buying one for your 4G LTE network.
