New assignment arrived at the office earlier today. I am setting up Synology DS1621+ for the office to replace one of our old NAS. The package came with a few 16TB hard drives.
The DiskStation came with 4GB RAM, which I would add later.
At year end, we were cleaning up our storage at the office and rediscovered a packaging box from 2001.
The iPod is safely stored on the shelf and still functioning. The box was stashed away more than 20 years ago.
The iPod changed consumer electronics landscape and was responsible in making Apple as the brand in consumer electronics. Just within a short 6 years after the release of original iPod, Apple released their most popular ever, iPhone.

Everything feels the same today. Calendars changed but life goes on. We can mark the milestone and start over if we need to.

I went to the office earlier today and saw a package from Steve Vai Official Merchandise Store. It is the “Passion & Warfare” blue Vinyls signed by Steve Vai.
It was and is still one of my favorite records. Buying this record direct is a way to support the artist.
Earlier today I visited John Livzey, who was the go-to photographer of the late and great Frank Zappa. We talked about some of the photos he took including Frank Zappa, Randy Rhoads, and Eddie Van Halen.
Livzey told me some brilliant moments of Steve Vai working with Frank Zappa. He showed me a few photos from Vai sessions. One of the photos can be viewed at Livzey website.
With electronic boards, gas station can change fuel prices at anytime. This particular Shell Gas Station has some interesting pricing strategy, and this is not the first time I spotted the pricing.
$7.119/gallon of regular unleaded fuel which is more expensive than its “Plus” & “Premium” counterparts. But if customers also pay for car wash, the price is 5.749/gallon of regular unleaded fuel.
