Google Chrome Crashes in OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 Beta

Google Chrome Crases in OS X 10.10.2 beta build 14C68k

From Chromium Project:

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open Chrome.
2. Attempt to interact with the browser in any way.

What is the expected behavior?
Browser should work.

What went wrong?
The browser crashes completely on every start attempt.

After further investigation, it seems the crash happens when built-in Trackpad or Magic Trackpad is used to interact with Google Chrome on any Macs running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 build 14C68k.

  • OS X Yosemite Support: Complete OS X Yosemite new features and technology support.
  • Handoff Support: Instantly switch between Pixelmator on your Mac and iPad.

Pixelmator 3.3 What's New

Pixelmator Repair Tool works really well. I have been using it to touch up a lot of photos since the feature was first introduced in Pixelmator.

There are a few features that Pixelmator team can add in the future releases. Something like Adobe Photoshop’s Content Aware Fill.

Editor’s note: It seems our web host, which shall remain nameless, was having issues.

iMac with Retina 5K display

IMac27-Yosemite-Homescreen

Apple:

iMac with Retina 5K display delivers an amazingly immersive user experience. With a resolution of 5120 x 2880, iMac with Retina 5K display has four times more pixels than the standard 27-inch iMac and 67 percent more pixels than a 4K display.

That’s a lot of pixels in a 27-inch display.

The display on the new 27-inch iMac has been engineered for performance, power efficiency and stunning visual quality. iMac with Retina 5K display uses a precisely manufactured oxide TFT-based panel to deliver vivid display brightness from corner to corner. A single supercharged Apple-designed timing controller (TCON), with four times the bandwidth, drives all 14.7 million pixels. iMac with Retina 5K display also uses highly efficient LEDs and organic passivation to improve image quality and reduce display power consumption by 30 percent, even while driving four times more pixels at the same brightness.

Apple is saying that they had to invent a new hardware to accommodate the 5K display.

iMac with Retina 5K display starts at $2,499 (US).
