Panic will donate 100% of today’s proceeds directly to the Japanese relief effort.
It doesn’t matter if you buy direct from us or via the Mac App Store, we’ll take care of it. We’ll total up sales from 10:00 AM PST Mar 17th to 10:00 AM PST Mar 18th. And we plan to donate to a mix of the Japanese Red Cross Society and Portland’s own Mercy Corps.
I am not sure if Apple would forego the usual 30% App Store fee.

5% of Next Week’s Sales will be Donated to Japan’s Relief Efforts
Real Software will donate 5% of our total sales for the week of March 20-26 to the American Red Cross’ earthquake and tsunami relief fund for Japan. All products including new Real Studio licenses, renewals, upgrades and support plans will be applicable. This is one small way we can help our friends in Japan after this devastating disaster.

We’ve been getting the replies from our associates in Japan. We are relieved to hear from them, but the recovery effort is far from over. There are still a lot of people missing in Japan.
