Apple hints iPhone OS 4 and next iPhone release sometimes in early July 2010.

According to an imaginary source who claimed to be an Apple Executive that is definitely not Phil Schiller, Apple is aiming for early July 2010 for the release of iPhone OS 4 and the next iPhone (dubbed as iPhone 2010). July 2nd might be a possible release date.

Apple is somewhat planning to announce the public availability of iPhone 2010 and iPhone OS 4 at WWDC on June 7th, 2010 in San Francisco.

In addition to iPhone OS, Apple is also somewhat planning to reveal a thing or two or five about its Mac OS X platform.

iPhone SDK 4 beta 3 and iPhone OS 4 beta 3 are released.

Details are scarce due to Apple Developers NDA. According to sources iPhone SDK 4 beta 3 and iPhone OS 4 beta 3 are released.

Notes from the imaginary sources:

  • So far beta 3 is using less memory than beta 1 & 2.
  • Lots of bug fixes.

As usual, please do not install any beta releases unless you understand the risk. Beta softwares are generally buggy.

Since the knuckleheads at 9 to 5 Mac already revealed some of the features from iPhone OS 4 beta 4:

Portrait Orientation Lock and iTunes Control

More info if they’re made available.

Microsoft confirms “Courier” project by killing it.

So many people were excited when Microsoft released pictures and videos of the fabled (and still imagined) Microsoft Courier, a dual screen Tablet Computer. At least one person was ultra-excited by it, namely Paul “The Microsoft P.R.” Thurrott.

Today has turned into a grim day for the fans of Microsoft Courier. According to our telepath-correspondence, Microsoft flag is flying half-staff in the residence of Paul Thurrott. Microsoft has officially killed the “Courier” project.

Based on another telepathic transmission from Microsoft Headquarter in Redmond, Washington, Microsoft will still be pursuing the tablet market. Microsoft wants to remind everyone that Microsoft introduced the term “Tablet PC” back in 2001. Microsoft assures the public that they will release another nifty videos of the next innovation in Tablet PC like device that will be running the fabulous Windows Operating System number 7 variant in the near future. Microsoft has not yet confirmed the cancelation date of the yet unannounced project. “Maybe sooner than you would ever expect,” thinks a Microsoft Executive.

Steve Jobs speaks up about Flash and Adobe’s response.

Apple fans and haters have something to bicker about today. It’s about what Steve Jobs said about Flash. Not that Flash from the comic book. It is Adobe Flash.

Thoughts on Flash

blah blah blah blah blah blah, Flash is proprietary, blah blah blah, Battery Life, blah blah blah, Flash crashes on Macs, blah blah blah.

OK, that’s the really short summary the blah-blah-blah version.

Shortly after, Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen responded to Steve Jobs’ statement through an interview with The Wall Street Journal:

blah blah blah, Flash on Android, blah blah blah, Steve Jobs is wrong, blah blah blah, Nexus One, blah blah blah, Flash, blah blah blah.

That’s another short summary the blah-blah-blah version.

Apple Confirmed that South Park Episode “200” is taken off iTunes Store.

iTunes Store Season Pass customer for “South Park: Uncensored, Season 14” reported that they were able to download Episode “200” prior the airing of Episode “201” on Wednesday. The Episode “200” has since disappeared from iTunes Store. The controversy surrounding Episode “201” seemed to be the reason why Episode “200” was taken off the iTunes Store, Amazon Digital Download and the broadcast.

The previously available episode “200” was identical to the Uncensored version that was streamed at South Park Studios.

According to an Apple iTunes Store Representative, South Park Episode “200” was indeed taken off the iTunes Store citing the iTunes Usage Rules:

Apple reserves the right not to post or publish any materials, and to delete, remove or edit any material, at any time in its sole discretion without notice or liability.

It is unclear if South Park Episode “200” was taken off the iTunes Store by Apple or by request from Comedy Central. Episode “201” was scheduled to be made available on iTunes Store this Saturday April 24th, 2010. It is unclear if and when Episode “201” will be made available for purchase.

At the Amazon Video On Demand, Episode “200” is also unavailable.

South Park: Season 14 Episode 5 – “200” is absent from iTunes Store.

UPDATE:
One reader commented that “200” was available at iTunes Store, but now it’s gone (see comment). Can anyone else confirm?

For sure I thought I saw South Park: Season 14 Episode 5 – “200” on the iTunes Store a few days ago. I just checked iTunes Store and now “200: is not available. Can someone confirm if “200” was ever made available on iTunes Store?

South Park: Season 14 Uncensored on iTunes Store.

The signs say that Comedy Central might be pulling “200” and “201” out of circulation for good.
