In iOS 4.2 beta 1, Apple tweaks Maps App traffic display to make it easier to read. The traffic colors are not as pronounced in iOS 4.2 beta 1, as a matter of fact they are more transparant now.

Apple seeds iOS 4.2 beta, requires Mac OS X 10.6.5 for AirPrint.
Apple has just seeded iOS 4.2 beta for iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, and iPod touch (2nd, 3rd & 4th, generations). Apple dubbed the wireless printing feature as AirPrint and it requires Mac OS X 10.6.5.
Registered iOS Developers can download Mac OS X 10.6.5 pre-release version along with iOS 4.2 beta.
Notes:
Just like any beta softwares, there are numbers of known issues with iOS 4.2 beta. Please refrain from installing it on your iOS device unless you have a backup-plan. Registered iOS Developers are made aware of this condition.
Currently AirPlay supports printing to:
- HP Photosmart Premium Fax e-All-in-One Printer – C410
- HP Photosmart Premium e-All-in-One Printer series – C310
- HP Photosmart Plus e-All-in-One Printer series – B210
- Printers shared through a Mac OS X running 10.6.5
- Printers shared through a PC running the AppleMobileDevice software

iOS 4.2 Details for iPad.
Steve Jobs gave a little preview on iOS 4.2 on September 1 Event, and it would be the unifying version for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
Two new features in iOS 4.2 are:
- Printing
- AirPlay
iOS 4.2 is coming in November for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. iOS registered developers should be able to get iOS 4.2 beta soon.

iOS 4.1 HDR photography is available on iPhone 4 only.
One of exciting new features in iOS 4.1 is HDR photography. Well, currently it will only be available on iPhone 4 only.
Take great photos that capture a wider range of light intensity using the new high dynamic range (HDR) setting on iPhone 4, which automatically combines multiple exposures into a single HDR image.
Developers eagerly await iOS 4.2 beta.
According to Steve Jobs, iOS 4.2 is coming November 2010. That means iOS 4.2 beta will be coming soon to registered iOS Developers. iOS 4.2 will be available for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad; exceptions apply.

iOS 4.1 GM is now available for registered iOS developers. Apple might start seeding iOS 4.2 beta mid-September 2010.
Apple to release iOS 4.1 as Developers get the GM build.
Apple to release iOS 4.1 for iPod touch and iPhone the following week after the September 1 Special Event. Meanwhile, developers can get their hands on the GM build of iOS 4.1 today.
iOS 4.1 is available for:

- iPhone 3GS
- iPhone 3G (some features are not available)
- iPod touch 3rd generation
- iPod touch 2nd generation (some features are not available)
The iPod touch 4th generation comes with iOS 4.1 pre-installed.
