- Transformers 2 kills in its opening five days with $200M (SCI FI Wire) | All the bad reviews did not stop people from watching this movie at all. Great. This will encourage Michael Bay to make more movies with more explosions.
- Billy Mays, star pitchman, dead at 50 (CNNMoney) | A lot of celebrity death this week.
- Army overthrows Honduras president in vote dispute (Reuters) | From the article: “Zelaya fired military chief Gen. Romeo Vasquez last week for refusing to help him run an unofficial referendum on Sunday on extending the four-year term limit on Honduran presidents.”
