Apparently NASA Mars Science Laboratory is infested with Apple products, specifically MacBook Pros. In addition to that, various iPhone tones can be heard during the live broadcast.
Curiosity and Curiositier.
Mars Exploration Rover is scheduled to land on the surface of Mars at 10:31 PM Pacific Time August 5th, 2012. NASA is having a special live broadcast to celebrate the mission.
It seems they are using MacBook Pros; unless those notebook computers are made by Samsung (*zing*).
According to Bad Religion’s Twitter post, “Bad Religion” and each of the guys names are written somewhere on the Curiosity.

Slacking is good, as I’ve been convincing myself. It’s Saturday and I’m still reading stuff off the internet.
First I’ve finished installing new hard drive on my MacBook Pro Core Duo, 20 minutes after I stareted it. Along the way I also managed to “fix” my keyboard. For a few days I’ve been having lots of typoes including the letter “t.” Apparently a drop of liquid caused the “g, r, and y” key to trigger the “t” key. I’m glad it is fixed now.

From “The Are You Serious?” Files: “California to Outlaw Black Cars”
It’s something political this time with some tech and science angle. I first discovered the news through Digg.com and thought that it must be a story from The Onion. Well, it is not!
It is an article from DC Republican Examiner (examiner.com) titled “California to Outlaw Black Cars.”
Pretty sure that April 1st is just around the corner, I hope that this is some kind of joke.
From the article:
You see, you thoughtless dark car owners are killing the planet because your car uses too much energy to cool the passengers.
In theory, darker color materials tend to absorb more heat. For a car, does it really make that much difference in terms of energy consumptions to cool the cabin if the color of the car is dark (read black)?
What’s next? We should have all the road painted to less-heat-absorbing-color then. No more asphalts?
