The Big Four 2011 European Tour kicked off on July 2nd, 2011 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Megadeth .com broke the news that Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax (sans Scott Ian plus Andreas Kisser) performed Diamond Head’s classic “Helpless” together. Slayer members didn’t join the jam due to what they called “travel arrangement”.
Next The Big Four show will be in Gothenburg, Sweden on July 3rd, 2011.
Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax are going to play the Yankee Stadium on September 14th, 2011. Ticket goes on sale May6 at 10:00 AM through TicketMaster.com. For more info head to facebook.com/TheBig4.

Slayer recruits Exodus’ Gary Holt to fill in for Jeff Hanneman who is currently recuperating from an emergency surgery on his right arm. Hanneman contracted a serious infection which resembles a disease caused by flesh-eating bacteria.
Slayer is scheduled to embark on European Carnage Tour with Megadeth in March and April 2011. Slayer will be joining Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax for The Big 4 in Indio, California.
