OS X Lion USB Thumb Drive is now shipping.

UPDATE:
According to UPS tracking data, it is due for delivery on Wednesday August 17th, 2011. That’s like overnight delivery service, well that’s because I’m in Southern California.

I ordered the OS X Lion USB Thumb Drive from Apple Store shortly after midnight. In the early afternoon, Apple notified that my order is being shipped and due for arrival on Thursday August 18th, 2011.

Shopping List for Upgrading to OS X Lion.

I’m compiling a shopping list for upgrading to OS X Lion. I prefer doing a clean install in lieu of upgrade.

The following are the items I’m getting for installing OS X Lion on a 2010 Unibody MacBook Pro:

  • An 8 GB USB drive.
  • A new hard drive or SSD.
  • External FireWire 800 case for SATA Drive.
  • 8GB of RAM.

Well, this list is generally would be similar with most OS X Lion compatible Macs.

New Product Week from Apple.

Apple is expected to release some products following its Fiscal Year 2011 Third Quarter Results Conference Call. The earnings call is scheduled on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, 2:00 p.m. PDT/5:00 p.m. EDT.

Mac OS X Lion is expected to make its public debut later this week. Analysts are calling for new MacBook Air, Mac Pro and Mac Mini release following Mac OS X Lion. Apple has seeded Mac OS X Lion to Developers and begun approving Lion compatible apps on Mac App Store.

Our sources had been adamant that Lion would see its public debut by Friday, July 22, 2011.
