NOTES:
According to a completely bogus information from an imaginary person who is definitely not Phil Schiller:

  • New iPhone OS 3.0 will be released on Monday/Tuesday following WWDC 2009 Keynote.
    Please note that iPhone OS 3.0 Beta 5 will definitely expire by the end of June.
  • iPhone OS 3.0 upgrade will be released ahead of the new iPhone.
  • A “few words” regarding Apple’s portable computers during WWDC.

Apple is set to preview iPhone OS 3.0 on Tuesday March 17th, 2009 10:00AM Pacific Time. Rumors aplenty about the new feature included with the new iPhone OS, and yet there are plenty more that Apple could add into the new software.

MacRumorsLive.com was Hacked During Live Keynote Coverage

Our MacRumorsLive keynote coverage was hacked today, inserting inappropriate content into the text and photo feeds. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to restore our services. The hack appears to be limited to the MacRumorsLive servers so forum accounts should be safe.

We’ll continue Macworld Expo coverage on an ongoing basis this week, and will report on Apple’s announcements shortly.

During Phil Schiller’s MacWorld San Francisco 2009, MacRumorsLive.com was hacked. MacRumors shut down the page minutes after. A line that said “Steve Jobs just died” was inserted into the feed. One message also carried 4CHAN.ORG badge.

Apple: “The spotlight turns to notebooks.” Live Coverage Links

UPDATE:
The keynote stream to is now available. It is also available through iTunes Store, subscribe to “Apple Keynotes” podcast and iTunes will download it.

Apple sent out select invitations for notebooks related event with the tag-line “The spotlight turns to notebooks.” The event is set to take place at Apple’s Town Hall in Cupertino on Tuesday October 14h, 2008 at 10:00 AM Pacific Time.
