As mentioned at WWDC 2014, Apple will be replacing iPhoto with Photos in iOS 8. When iOS 8 was released on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 I searched for iPhoto at the App Store and could not find it. Apple made it clear that iPhoto would not run in iOS 8 beta.
Apple Unveils New iLife and iWork Apps
Apple announces new iLife and iWork Apps for OS X and iOS during the October 2013 Special Event.
- New iLife and iWork come free with new Mac and iOS Device purchases.
- iLife and iWork Apps now sport iOS 7 style icons,
- iLife consists of GarageBand, iPhoto and iMovie.
- iWork consists of Keynote, Numbers and Pages.
- iWork for iCloud now features collaboration.
