iPhone Internet Tethering on AT&T Network.

Many wonders when AT&T would give Apple the go to enable Internet Tethering on the iPhone. Well, I guess we all have to wait. The year 2009 is coming to a close and for sure we won’t see such announcement from AT&T this year.

And then I saw this:

After restoring an iPhone to OS 3.1.2 I noticed that the Data Roaming was on and there’s the option for setting up Internet Tethering. For some reasons it did not work, but the option was there. No, the iPhone was not and still is not jail broken.

Tell me that I’m not somehow travelled into the near future for a while there.

WordPress for iPhone 2.1 is Now Available.

WordPress for iPhone 2.1 is now available in iTunes App Store.

From the release notes:

New in version 2.1:

  • A post or page can be deleted by swiping across its title in the Posts or Pages list
  • Commenter email addresses are now visible
  • The app now supports HTTP authentication for password-protected self-hosted blogs. Big thanks to Jeff Stieler for the patch.*
  • Fix for link helper not working in mid-sentence
  • Fix for lost content after changing status of post containing a <!--more--> tag
  • Fix for visual glitch with buttons in Comments section

Telemarketer Text Spam from (949) 439-7109

Yet another Telemarketer text spam just hit my mobile phone. It doesn’t matter if you’re on the do-not-call list because they actually never called you; they just texted you.

The latest one that came to my phone is from (949) 439-7109 and it says:

If you are struggling to keep up with credit card payments and have more than $10k in debt, we can help. May we give you a call regarding this?

A query on Google reveals that others have also received such text message.

If you received such text messages, file a complaint to FCC (http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm).

Select the options in the following sequence:

  • Wireless Telephone
  • Telemarketing calls (including Do-Not-Call), prerecorded messages and unsolicited commercial emails received on a wireless phone

Another Telemarketer text spam just hit my mobile phone. It doesn’t matter if you’re on the do-not-call list because they actually never called you; they just texted you.

The latest one that came to my phone is from (310) 694-7870 and it says:

Dear homeowner, if you are struggling to make your mortgage payment or have a recent hardship, a modification can help. Would you like to learn more about this?

A query on Google reveals that others have also received such text message.

If you received such text messages, file a complaint to FCC (http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm).

Select the options in the following sequence:
