Apple announces that making (white) iPhone 4 is hard.

Apple has just announced that white iPhone 4 would not be available until the second half of July, 2010 citing manufacturing issues. OK, I’ll be understanding about that. But then Apple said the following in their statement:

The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.

Seriously Apple? There’s only one color available for pre-order and that is black. You cannot say that it is “more popular” because no one has the option to buy the other color up to this point.

Anyway, you either can wait for the white iPhone 4 or get the black model.

Apple releases iOS 4 for iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch.

June 21st, 2010.

Apple release iOS 4 for iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, and iPod touch (2nd & 3rd generation) today. iOS 4 is available for download through iTunes.

Please download iTunes 9.2 before you try upgrading to iOS 4. Download iTunes 9.2 from Apple.

iTunes 9.2 is released ahead of iOS 4.

iTunes 9.2 is now available for Mac OS X and Windows XP/Vista/7. iTunes 9.2 is required to sync with iPhones and iPod touches running iOS 4.

iOS 4 is scheduled for release June 21st, 2010.
iOS 4 is compatible with iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPod touch (2nd and 3rd gen).

iPhone 4 is scheduled for release on June 24th, 2010.

iPhone 4 pre-order using Apple Store App.

UPDATE:
Apple has just disabled iPhone 4 Reservation through Apple Store App, citing high demand.

Apparently it is easier to reserve iPhone 4 using Apple Store App on the iPhone. While almost everyone is getting the “Session Expired” message on the Apple Store Online page, you can zip through the reservation process using the Apple Store App on the iPhone.

iPhone 4 Reservation Confirmation.

If you’re early enough beating the AT&T meltdown, you might already have a confirmation for the iPhone 4 pre-order. I really want the White iPhone 4, but for now I reserved one at the Apple Store. After numerous tries, I succesfully reserved a 32GB Black iPhone 4. For some reasons, whenever I tried reserving the 16GB version, it kept failing.

Apple has just disabled iPhone 4 Reservation through Apple Store App, citing high demand.

You might have easier time reserving iPhone 4 using Apple Store App for the iPhone.

Here we go again, another “land-grab” with iPhone 4 pre-order.

Apple Store Online is back and you can start the pre-order process.

What? The iPhone 4 White is not available for pre-order?

OK, I’ll take iPhone 4 Black 32GB. I want to replace my current iPhone.

OK, so you need my wireless number, billing Zip Code and the last four digits of my Social Security Number.

Now I wait…….

…and I’m still waiting.

Then I got this: “Your request cannot be processed.”

So I tried to reserve it.

OK, now what?

$699.00???????

Whatever…….

So I tried pre-ordering iPhone 4 Black 16GB.

That’s more like it.
