iOS 7.1 and Awesome Typography

One tiny thing that Apple iOS team did not care about is the “Disable Background App Refresh” button. They could set the text button in two lines, but they won’t.

@JonyIveParody certainly took notice back in September 2013.

The SSL Vulnerability is currently present in iOS 7.1 beta 5 build 11D5145e. According to an Apple engineer, a new build of iOS 7.1 beta is coming “really soon”.

Apple seeds iOS 7.1 beta 5 build 11D5145e

As reported by many sites, Apple seeds iOS 7.1 beta 5 build 11D5145e to Developers on Tuesday, February 4, 2014.

iOS 7.1 beta 5 build 11D5145e

Typically, iOS beta would be released after 6 or 7 builds on two-week release schedule. Anyone can make an educated guess that iOS 7.1 is likely to be released sometimes in March 2014.

Apple seeds iOS 7.1 beta 4

Should you be following the two-week release schedule between iOS beta builds, you could be telling people that iOS 7.1 beta 4 would be released on Tuesday, January 21, 2014. You could easily made up a “trusted source within Apple” who told you such news. Then again, Apple could easily release iOS 7.1 beta 4 one day earlier than the expected date.

Anyway, Apple indeed seeded iOS 7 beta 4 build 11D5134c on Monday, January 20, 2014; one day earlier than what some people expected and reported as news.

It seems the awesomeness of “Disable Background App Refresh” visual design is not a priority to change.

iOS 7.1 beta 4

Should Apple follow the two-week release schedule between iOS beta builds, expect iOS 7.1 beta 5 sometimes around February 3 or 4, 2014.

Apple seeds iOS 7.1 beta 3 to Developers

As many sites have reported, Apple seeds iOS 7.1 beta 3 build 11D5127c to Developers. Based on the information from a certain registered Apple Developer, the “beautiful” typography of iOS 7 is still there. Apparently the are not in any hurry to make changes on this one. See photo below.

It is not recommended to install any beta versions of iOS unless you are ready to face the awesomeness that is known as software bugs.
