Memorial Day

Monday May 28th, 2012 is a holiday in the United States; in observance of Memorial Day.

Sure there are a lot of news out there, but a lot of us are doing something other than sitting in front of the computer. We will go back to our regularly schedule work the day after.

p.s. WWDC 2012 is two weeks away.

Xmas

One of my favorite bits of all time:

Fry: Yeah, it really puts you in the Christmas spirit.
Farnsworth: What-mas?
Fry: Christmas. You know? X-M-A-S.
Leela: Oh, you mean Xmas. You must be using an archaic pronunciation. Like when you say “ask” instead of “aks”.

That’s from “Xmas Story“, Futurama Season 2 Episode 8.

Happy Xmas!

Thanksgiving Day.

All of our team members are celebrating Thanksgiving day with family and friends. Most of us will be back on Friday November 25th, 2011 and partly resume our daily routines (read jobs).

Even though I am officially on vacation today, I get to speak to David Wadhwani, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Digital Media Business Unit Adobe Systems Incorporated. We talked about the demise of Adobe Flash on Mobile platform, Deblur filter, Creative Suite 6.0/6.5 and a lot more.

Happy 4th of July.

We’re celebrating Independence Day on the 4th of July in The United States. As usual there were gathering, food and fireworks. Less time scouring on the Internet for news.

There were the Sheriff cars visiting the area because some people got too carried away with their fireworks.
