Today’s word is: Irony

Family Guy introduced new character Joyce Kinney the episode “Excellence in Broadcasting” as the replacement to Diane Simmons who was killed in the episode “And Then There Were Fewer.” The character Joyce Kinney is voiced by Christine Lakin.

So, where’s the irony? Get to the point!

Christine Lakin’s website is an irony in Web design.

Notice the nice iPhone design on Lakin’s website? It looks gorgeous.

So, I don’t see anything wrong with it. What’s your point?

The site is Flash-based! You can’t view the site on the iPhone while it has iPhone in the design.

Adobe Executives are really excited over RIM PlayBook and Motorola Xoom.

According to a highly unreliable source, Adobe Executives are really about either RIM PlayBook and Motorola Xoom. I would guess Adobe is excited about both products for one main reason: Flash Player.

I had a brief encounter with one of the Adobe Executives in 2010 and he was not a fan of Apple iPad at all.

We will see if both RIM PlayBook and Motorola Xoom can deliver great Adobe Flash experience.

Catching Up: Firefox, iOS, Flash, Bad Religion and Slayer.

When was the last time I posted anything here? It’s been quite a while. I want to post them now but I don’t remember most of it. Anyway here I go again.

Firefox 4 Beta 3 is out. It adds multi-touch supports for Windows 7. Download it here.

iOS 4.0.3 is available for iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPod touch; some exceptions apply. iOS 3.2.2 is also available for iPad. It includes the fix for PDF security flaw that is currently being exploited to jailbreak iOS 4.

Flash 10.1 Gala for Mac OS X is officially released. It adds support for hardware accelerated decoding for certain GPU’s.

Bad Religion new album “The Dissent of Man” is due out on September 28, 2010. The single “The Devil in Stitches” is now available for purchase and streaming. Get it at iTunes Store or Amazon MP3.

Slayer kicked off American Carnage Tour on Wednesday August 11th, 2010 in Glens Falls, New York. The American Carnage Tour First Leg features Megadeth and Testament.

Steve Jobs speaks up about Flash and Adobe’s response.

Apple fans and haters have something to bicker about today. It’s about what Steve Jobs said about Flash. Not that Flash from the comic book. It is Adobe Flash.

blah blah blah blah blah blah, Flash is proprietary, blah blah blah, Battery Life, blah blah blah, Flash crashes on Macs, blah blah blah.

OK, that’s the really short summary the blah-blah-blah version.

Shortly after, Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen responded to Steve Jobs’ statement through an interview with The Wall Street Journal:

blah blah blah, Flash on Android, blah blah blah, Steve Jobs is wrong, blah blah blah, Nexus One, blah blah blah, Flash, blah blah blah.
