FCC Voted for Net Neutrality

Today the FCC voted three to two to reclassify broadband Internet access as a common carrier service under Title II of the Communications Act, and forbear from the parts of the Act that aren’t necessary for net neutrality rules. This reclassification gives the FCC the authority to enact (and enforce) narrow, clear rules which will help keep the Internet the open platform it is today.

Three out of five FCC Commissioners voted for “Net Neutrality”. Historic moment, but there are still a long way to go.

Spammer Alert: sallara.com

A spammer from sallara.com responsible for wave of spam emails using numbers of domain names.

sallara.com is registered through enom.com. Don’t even bother complaining to enom.com through their Abuse Policy page, because it always return an error page. Many domains used by spammers are registered through enom.com.

Spammer Alert: Updates on Agile Media.

Readers sent in a few info regarding Agile Media who has been sending out email spam. Agile Media has registered numerous domain names through moniker.com. If you are victims of Agile Media CAN-SPAM Act violation, please:

Please note that the domain agilemediagroup.net was suspended due to Spamhaus report and it is currently in clientHold status, which prevents any host records from resolving. Email agilereg@agilemediagroup.net cannot be working because of the suspension.

That is one good news, but the spam is still coming. Even though agilemediagroup.net is currently suspended, they have already registered numerous domain names prior to the suspension.

Numerous readers mentioned that they are still getting email spam from linda@eternityme.com.

Spam Alert: exectsided.net Spammer is now using fabrias.net.

Reports are coming in from readers the exectsided.net has stopped working only to reappear as fabrias.net.

What you need to do is call moniker.com at 1-954-984-8445 and file another complaints. Also file complaints to FTC.

As a matter of fact fabrias.net was registered on November 10, 2010. This domain is registered by the same spammer from exectsided.net.

Please call oversee.net or moniker.com at 1-954-984-8445. Tell them that the same individual is behind the two domain names and might have more domain names to send spam from.

A reader sent a header from the spam and it shows that spams from fabrias.net is related to exectsided.net spammer.

Yet Another Text Spammer: (707) 407-9497

I just received another Text-Spam on my mobile phone. This is an unsolicited marketing ploy from unscrupulous individual(s).

This time is from (707) 407-9497

The Spam says:

Need some quick cash? You can easily get $1500 wired into your bank account today! For info, just reply back the word “PAY”.  (To cancel: reply STOP)

According to FCC, this type of “marketing” does violate CAN-SPAM Act.

You should file form 1088G to report this violation.

Yet another Text-Spam: 1-305-877-4908

Text-Spam is really annoying because it actually uses the SMS quota, unless you have the ulimited plan.

I received another Text Spam message on August 15th, 2010. Don’t bother calling 1-305-877-4908 back, because it doesn’t take any phone calls and the voice mail-box is not set-up. All you need to do is to file complaints to FCC because such unsolicited text messages violate CAN-SPAM Act.

You should file form 1088G to report this violation. File a complaint on FCC site http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

You can also call 1-888-CALL-FCC (1-888-2255-322) voice; 1-888-TELL-FCC (1-888-8355-322) TTY.

The text reads:

Do you owe $10,000+ to the IRS? Our gov’t approved program can REDUCE BACK TAXES by over 70%. Reply “YES” to see if you qualify! (optout,reply:out)

Text-Spam does violate the Communication Act of 1934.
