Package 3 of 2?

Well, package #3 was completely something we did not plan and did happen. To be honest, it’s supposed to be only one package, but plan changed.

At first, we’re planning only to acquire the Red, Black and White EVH Wolfgang Special Striped Series, thanks to a pretty nice discount offered by the vendor. Another vendor made an offer to us for the Yellow and Black 🐝 EVH Wolfgang Special Striped Series.

Late last week, the first vendor made another offer that really tempted us. Now we have completed the series.

EVH WOLFGANG SPECIAL STRIPED SERIES – BLACK & WHITE

We’re going to get these guitars inspected by our favorite luthier who is also a Fender/EVH authorized repair service provider.

Package 2 of 2

Another exciting day here at the Headquarters as we unpacked the second package.

EVH Wolfgang Special Striped Series, Black and Yellow, Bumblebee 🐝

I like this version better than the Red Black and White model.

Up next, hopefully by June 2024 we get to complete the collection. Note to guitar shops out there, send us an offer if you have one in stock with the case. You know which one we’re talking about.

Package 1 of 2

Package one has arrived. It is another exciting unpacking day here at our headquarters.

EVH BOX

We’re expecting another package sometimes next week.

EVH WOLFGANG SPECIAL RED WHITE BLACK

We might get the third package if we can make the deal with the vendor.

Where’s the High-E String?

One thing that often happens while playing guitar is to break the high-E string.

What should I do?

  • Keep playing. Who needs high-E string if you can play only power chords?
  • Stop playing and get dinner.
  • Complain to my roadie, which I certainly do not have.
  • Make appointment with my usual guitar technician and wait 4 weeks. Yeah, he is that busy.
  • Make a post about it. Oh, wait… this post is the post.
  • Have a friend restring the guitar.
  • Put the guitar in the case and play some mobile games.
  • Restring the guitar. That’s a lot of non-slacking time.
  • and the list goes on and on and on and on…

Restringing EVH Wolfgang HT

One thing that every guitar playing person need to know is to restring the guitar. This past week alone I have two High E Strings broken on my EVH Wolfgang HT.

I had been having trouble with D’Addario EXL120 High E Strings and I’m for now switching back to Ernie Ball Super Slinky (9-42).

I also used D’Addario NS Micro Clip-On Tuner to tune the guitar.

I took my time to restring the guitar and did it right. It really made me appreciate the work that guitar techs do.

Guitar Maintenance with D’Addario Humidipak

Back in June 2018, I took my EVH Wolfgang for setup and maintenance to Paul, a well-known guitar repairman in Southern California. Since the EVH Wolfgang. Paul recommended placing a D’Addario Humidipak in the case where the guitar is stored when not being used.

D’Addario Humidipak is designed to keep Relative Humidity at 45-50% inside the case. Even though it is usually used with acoustic guitars, Paul assured me that it will help maintain my EVH Wolfgang. Especially with its unfinished neck and ebony fingerboard It is necessary to keep it from drying out, which might lead to cracking and fret sprout.

D’Addario Humidipak is based on Boveda’s product which formerly known as Humidipak.
