Dropbox 2.0.2 is now available
Dropbox 2.0.2 has been released to address a few bugs on Mac and Windows.
Two outstanding bugs that the Dropbox team are still working on:
- Discrete Graphics cards gets activated which drains your battery.
- The new popup doesn’t work with Screen Readers on Windows.
Dropbox acquires Mailbox App.
Mailbox App, the Gmail client that makes people wait in line to sign up, has been acquired by Dropbox.
Today we’re really excited to welcome the Mailbox team to Dropbox.
Did Dropbox make Mailbox team wait in a queue before they can join?
It did not take long for MailboxApp.com to be updated with Dropbox presence.
This means Mailbox App would get an update pretty soon at the App Store. It was first released on February 8, 2013.
Dropbox 2.0
Dropbox 2.0 is out now.
New in 2.0.0:
- Fix a bug where discrete graphics would be enabled on OSX laptops.
- Add support for Brazilian Portuguese.
- Other small fixes.
Here are a few things you should know:
- It is only enabled on Mac OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and above, and on Windows XP and above.
- It is not yet enabled on Linux.
Dropbox 2.1.1 for iOS
Dropbox 2.1.1 for iOS is now available; iPad users please take note.
iPad users: If you are unable to open Dropbox, please re-install the app and turn on “Passcode Lock” in the app’s settings. We are working to get a fix out ASAP!
If you already had “Passcode Lock” enabled, you might not see this problem on iPad.
