Travelling back to 1982-1983.

Metallica and Mustaine had been on stage together during the Big 4 shows, but not like this. Dave Mustaine once again fulfilled the role he had back in 1982 and 1983, the lead guitarist of Metallica even only for three songs. Metallica and Dave Mustaine together performed “Phantom Lord”, “Jump In The Fire” and “Metal Militia” just like they did back in 1982 and 1983. How we all really wish Cliff Burton were there too.

Dave Mustaine and James Hetfield, side by side doing what they do best.

It is even more surreal to see Dave Mustaine and Kirk Hammett “being in Metallica” at the same time.

It might have been 1982 and 1983 again.

Note to James Hetfield and Dave Mustaine: It’s not too late to collaborate together again.

Dave Mustaine announces through his Twitter account that Megadeth is working on its thirteenth studio release.

Day 1. Rolling in the Vanquish on a perfect day. Today starts my 13th studio release. Adrenaline’s high. Pray for Victory!

The follow up to 2009’s “Endgame” marks the return of Megadeth’s co-founding member and bass player David Ellefson. Presumably Megadeth will be recording the new release at Vic’s Garage, a home studio built in Mustaine’s own San Diego Home.

Dave Mustaine mentions Lars Ulrich and The Big Four US Tour at Cow Place, San Francisco American Carnage Show.

As previously reported here, Lars Ulrich did attend American Carnage show at Cow Palace in San Francisco. A Megadeth Fan with handle TheSorrow posted a video of Megadeh ripping into “My Last Words” after Dave Mustaine mentioned The Big Four US Tour and Lars Ulrich in the middle of “Peace Sells.” Mustaine even mentioned that Lars was backstage requesting Megadeth to play the song.

Listen to Dave Mustaine starting at 3 minute mark.

Based on my sources they want The Big Four US Tour to happen. Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax are still working on the details.
