Apple releases updates to Final Cut Pro X, Motion and Compressor. Apple also releases ProApps QuickTime Codec 1.0.2.

What’s New in Version 10.0.8

  • Support for Sony XAVC codec up to 4K resolution
  • Option to display ProRes Log C files from ARRI ALEXA cameras with standard Rec. 709 color and contrast levels
  • Resolves an issue where some third-party effects generated green frames during render
  • Resolves performance issues that could occur with certain titles and effects
  • Time reversed clips render in the background
  • Ability to use key commands to adjust Clip Appearance settings in the timeline
  • Ability to view reel number metadata located in the timecode track of video files
  • Mono audio files in a surround project export with correct volume levels

Apple updates Final Cut Pro X

Apple released updates to Final Cut Pro X, including Motion and Compressor.

Notable changes on Final Cut Pro X:

  • Inport and export XML to support third-party workflows.
  • Place Projects and Events on Xsan to improve collaboration between editors.

 

Apple releases Final Cut Pro X through Mac App Store.

Apple releases Final Cut Pro X for $299.99. It is a 1.33 GB download through Mac App Store. Motion 5 (1.09 GB) and Compressor 4 (261 MB) are available separately for $49.99 each.

Final Cut Pro X is compatible with Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.7) and Mac OS X Lion on Mac with 64-bit Processor (Core 2 Duo or higher).
