“RENO 911! is Canceled.

It’s official! Comedy Central cancels RENO 911! today as revealed by show creator Thomas Lennon through Twitter.

“Reno 911! was cancelled at 1:30 pm today. Won’t be wearing the shorts again.”

Fans blame show creators for killing off the Deputies.

More on this.

I talked to Carlos Alazraqui who played Deputy James Oswaldo Garcia at The Hollywood Improv on Thursday night. Alazraqui says that he never left but only one season ahead of the show itself. He also says that fans can always watch the show on re-run and DVD. In addition to that Alazraqui will be hitting the road with Cedric Yarbrough (Deputy S. Jones) for the coming months.

p.s. Trying to get Cedric Yarbrough to say a few words about RENO 911! and his current projects. Stay tuned!

For all RENO 911! fans, Season Six premiere was not an April Fool’s joke. Yes, your favorite Deputy is no longer on the show. Deputy James Oswaldo Garcia was implied to be killed at the taco stand explosion at the end of Season Five.

A gift for all Deputy James Garcia fans and for all Carlos Alazzrqui fans: a sneak peek at Carlos stand-up video recorded back in December 2008. Wish you all were there. A snippet about President Obama and World Peace.

Mind the rough edit and color quality. This is something that we slapped together early on.

Reno 911! Might Return for The Sixth Season

Comedy Central and Reno 911! creators are reportedly talking about renewing the show for the sixth season. There has not been any official confirmations from both camps at this point.

I talked to Carlos Alazraqui on Saturday night at ACME Comedy Theatre, and he confirmed that indeed the show MIGHT BE picked up for the sixth season by Comedy Central. Then Alazraqui added, “You would know it before I do, that’s how it usually goes.

The Reno 911! Season Five DVD was released within a week after the season finale episode first aired on July 10th, 2008.

Currently, Carlos Alazraqui and Cedric Yarbrough are doing College Comedy Tour across The United States.

Cedric Yarbrough attended The Boondock‘s creator Aaron McGruder‘s wedding in Laguna Beach, California on Saturday August 23rd, 2008 (if the location was 100% correct).
