One Last Day with Automatic

I bought my first Automatic Link-Auto OBD in 2013.

Six years and many days later, I am using Automatic for one more day. Today is the last day.

in 2017, Automatic Labs Inc. was acquired by SiriusXM and changed its business model.

Automatic will be shutting down its service at 11:59 pm, PT, on May 28, 2020.

Users can download personal information and driving data through June 28, 2020

For now I have not found any good alternative to Automatic service. Without getting into the details, I attest that Automatic Emergency Service did help me.

Automatic Pro

I have been using Automatic since its first iteration back in 2013. The second generation Automatic adapter has built-in GPS, relying less on the phone.

The third Automatic adapter inludes Unlimited 3G subscription for 5 years. Granted, I am likely to buy the next version of Automatic adapter.

There are stark difference between Automatic Pro App and its predecessor. According to Automatic Labs, they are still working on features to be included in the Automatic Pro App.

I miss the Info Dashboard on the (old) Automatic App, I’m sure that it is coming to the Automatic Pro App.

The Automatic Pro App includes a “Drive Style” analysis.

According to Automatic Pro App, I’m a bit aggressive on the Highways as opposed to being on the City streets.

I recommend Automatic Pro for those who would like to keep track their driving activities; that includes parents and companies.

Automatic Pro is available for purchase direct from Automatic Website.

App and Hardware: Automatic

I’ve just picked up an Automatic Link at an Apple Store earlier today. I have yet to install it on my car.

I’ve heard of Automatic for quite some times but I did not bother to buy it directly from their site. Now that Apple Store carries the Automatic Link, I bought one using EasyPay.

Automatic App is compatible with iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s. Public Beta of Automatic App for Android is coming in December. Only a few Android devices are currently supported.
