“Back to the Mac” Live Coverage Links.

Well, it’s time of the Apple event again. There will be numbers of sites providing live coverage from the event. Who knows if Apple would provide live stream just like the September Music Event.

As usual, links will be listed below as they are made available.

I wonder if gdgt got an invitation to the event or they might have gone Gizmodo way after Ryan Block’s “glassgate” article. By the way the terms “glassgate” and “antennaegate” are pretty stupid. They are named after the “Watergate” scandal which is the name of the Hotel where it happened. It was never noun-gate naming convention.

Apple seeds iOS 4.2 beta 3 to Developers.

iOS 4.2 beta 3 arrived a few hours earlier than expected today. Apple has been sending out notices to registered iOS developers about the availability of the latest beta of iOS 4.2 this Afternoon.

As usual thanks to a three-letter-abbreviation that is not an acronym known as NDA, details are scarce. Apple is working out the bugs in iOS 4.2 to meet the unspecified November 2010 self-imposed deadline.

iOS 4.2 beta 3 is also accompanied by iTunes 10.1 beta 2, available for Mac OS X and Windows (x86 and x64).

Skype for Android.

Skype is now available for Android 2.1 and higher. Previously Skype was available only for Android on Verizon.

Skype for Android can be obtained by visiting skype.com/m on Android browser or through Android Marketplace.

Skype Blog:

Skype now available for Android phones

  • Skype is not available in the Android Market in China or Japan.
  • Skype has been tested on HTC and Motorola devices with Android OS 2.1 and above. It may work on other Android phones, but we can’t guarantee full functionality or compatibility. We’re aware of some problems with the Samsung Galaxy S, and we’re looking to address these in the future.
  • It’s free to use Skype in a WiFi zone. If you use Skype with a mobile data connection, operator charges may apply, so we recommend an unlimited data plan.
  • In the US, you can make calls only over WiFi.
  • A fair use policy applies to unlimited subscriptions.

Apple seeds iOS 4.2 beta 2 and iTunes 10.1 beta to Developers.

As expected Apple seeds iOS 4.2 beta 2 to Developers today. In addition to that, Apple also seeds iTunes 10.1 beta for Mac OS X and Windows (x86 and x64) in conjunction of  iOS 4.2 beta 2.

As usual, information is a bit scarce due to a three letter abbreviation known as NDA.

If you are not using your iDevices for testing, please do not beg your friends or download it from unscrupulous site. Beta softwares known to have some bugs and iOS 4.2 beta is no exception.

Do not pay any sites for iOS beta. If you feel like getting the iOS beta, join iOS Developer Program for $99/year.
