UPS dropped off a package at the office about an hour ago. Well, it is a relatively small package. Yep, it’s the Nexus 7. I promised that I would’t be doing any unboxing stuff, so I won’t. In addition to that, I still have a few things to work on. I’ll save the Nexus 7 for later tonight.
Nexus 7 is now shipping.
Galaxy Nexus is taken off Google Play US Store.
Galaxy Nexus is no longer available for sale at Google Play US Store. Samsung’s request for a stay of injunction against the sale of Galaxy Nexus was denied by the Honorable Judge Lucy Koh.
I wonder what would happen to the Nexus-7 tablet. What if it were banned for sale in the US too? I have already preordered one and there might be a chance I wouldn’t be getting it. To be honest, I am expecting Nexus-7 to ship before Apple can do anything about it. Then again, Apple has yet to sue ASUS for any slavish copying.
Note from Vondiggity:
“Who’s laughing now? I already bought one.”
Replies from me:
“You paid $399 plus sales tax and shipping. The price is $349 plus sales tax and shipping. That $50 can get you a lot of taco on Taco Tuesday.”
Google’s Nexus 7
Public Service Announcement:
Do not confuse Nexus 7 with Nexus 6.
Google introduces Nexus 7, an android tablet.
Nexus 7, 8 GB model – $199.00
Nexus 7, 16 GB model – $249.00

Does Nexus 7 cost under $199/$249 to make or is Google taking a loss?
Nexus 7 is manufactured by ASUS.
It also comes with a copy of one of the worst movies in recent history: Transformers – Dark of the Moon.
Galaxy Nexus
My colleague bought a Galaxy Nexus just about a week ago.
Apparently those gigantic billboards do work.
Milk the Android.
Galaxy Nexus Billboard
I was in Long beach, California earlier today and spotted a Galaxy Nexus billboard. I’m not sure how long the billboard has been there. Google is selling Galaxy Nexus in two main flavors, CDMA and GSM. The billboard features Verizon Wireless logo while Google is directly selling GSM Galaxy Nexus on Google Play.
