Reno 911!: Miami DVD

Reno 911!: Miami The Movie
Disclaimer: I apparently know 2 of the casts of Reno 911!. One I met a few years ago at my previous job, and hang out with the other one from time to time.

Reno 911! is one of my favorite shows. Upon hearing the news about the full length movie, I had a mixed feeling. I do love the sense of humor of the show, but I wasn’t so sure if it had the appeal on a much broader audience. The movie didn’t do as well as I’d hope in Box Office sales. In spite of that I believe that the fans of the show will invest more on getting the DVD.

The cast members recorded commentaries for both Reno 911!: Miami The Movie and the Reno 911! The Complete Fourth Season DVDs. At least that’s what Carlos Alazraqui (Officer James Oswaldo Garcia) revealed.

Reno 911! The Complete Fourth Season will be released on June 26th, 2007 – one week after the release of Reno 911!: Miami The Movie.

Walking Across America to Raise Money for American Diabetes Association

I talked to Jeremy Keeble about his effort to raise money for American Diabetes Association by walking across America. Jeremy took an absence of leave from his job for one year and started the journey in October 2006. His goal is to raise $100,000.00 in donations.

I will be posting series of videos of Jeremy on and off the hiking trails in the near future.

I’ll be posting the links to the video here and at http://37prime.com/podcast/

Safari 3 Public Beta: Missing Texts on Windows XP

UPDATE 06.15.2007
One thing that is different on the computer effected, it previously had Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 installed and uninstalled. This is not necessarily the cause. I’m still trying to find the culprit.
Out of numbers of Windows XP computers I installed Safari 3 Public Beta on, one is having a weird problem. All the texts are missing including within the page and the menu. I am not sure what is really going on since so far this only happens on one computer running Windows XP.

Click on the picture below for full resolution of the screen capture.

Missing Texts on Windows XP

I have yet installed Safari 3 Public Beta on Windows Vista. That’s coming soon.

Apple and AT&T: “Get ready for Apple iPhone”

Apple and AT&T are e-mailing out the notice for iPhone release.

Most interesting part is the following:

iTunes Account
To set up your iPhone, you’ll need an account with Apple’s iTunes Store. If you already have an iTunes account, make sure you know your account name and password. If you don’t have an account, you should set one up now to save time later. To set up an account, launch iTunes, select the iTunes Store, and click the “Sign In” button in the upper right corner of iTunes. Sign in and you’re ready to go.

Not sure what that means.

Get ready for  iPhone

As always, someone will jump up and down; complaining about the “lock-in” of the iPhone and the service.

“I hate iTunes, I want an alternative software to interface with the iPhone.”

Safari 3 Public Beta: New “Find” Feature

Apple must have been taking a lot of note in developing Safari 3 user interface. One thing that Safari has been lacking is the “find-in-page” feature. The “Find Banner” is located on the top of the page below the Toolbar/Bookmark Bar. Mozilla Firefox has this feature for quite sometimes now; the “search bar” can be found at the bottom of the browser.

Previous “Find” feature in Safari is is almost unusable, thanks to the highlight color of the found word. This is one major improvement in Safari UI.
