I am not talking about the kind you get from visiting web sites which can be misused to track your activities on the Internet. I use program such as Spybot – Search & Destroy and SpywareBlaster to keep my computer a bit safer.

Mac Pro RAID Card and 3 Terabytes Hard Drives.

Mac Pro RAID Card with model number A1247 does not have full support for 3 terabytes hard drives. This Mac Pro RAID card would only be able to recognize maximum 2.2 terabytes of the hard drive capacity.

The discussion threads at Apple Support Communities.

The built-in Serial-ATA controller in Mac Pro supports 3TB hard drives.

Patriot Memory, I Thank Thee.

I sent a defective SDHC Card back to Patriot Memory about one week ago. I received the replacement in the mail sometimes yesterday. I can’t quite remember how much I paid for the SDHC card a year or two ago. At the time of this post it sells for $14.99 at Amazon.com and Newegg.com.

I would like to thank Patriot Memory for making the RMA process so easy.

Oh New Mac Pro, Where Art Thou?

I am currently working on a Mac Pro with a problematic Apple RAID Card. The fun part is to transfer terabytes of data off the hard drives in RAID to other drives. Wait a minute, did I say “fun”?

Anyway, a lot people are hoping Apple to release new Mac Pro soon. There are fears that Apple would axe the Mac Pro line, since there has been no new models for two years. I personally haven’t heard a word about any new Mac Pro from my contacts at Apple.

I bought those Mac Pro RAM from Other World Computing.

All Squared Up.

If you own a small business and you want to accept card card as payment then it couldn’t be any easier these days.

About a week before Christmas 2011, I helped setting up credit card payment system using Square for a small bakery in the Long Beach, California. All they need are: a wireless access point, an iPod touch and Square card reader. In addition to that, they are also accepting card payment at farmers market in Long Beach, Culver City and Pasadena. According to the bakery owner, they are gaining new customers by simply accepting card payment.

The next project is to redesign Sconeage Bakery website.
